The second event of the first day of the 2023 Official Strongman Games (OSG) in Charleston, WV, was the Stix and Stone Carry. Athletes had 60 seconds to carry a large wooden box with extra weight down 50 feet. Then, athletes traversed halfway back to pick up a pair of stones with handles and carry those across the finish line.
Each stone had a different weight. Athletes chose which side to carry each stone. The athletes were allowed unlimited drops. Chalk was allowed, but lifting straps were not. The furthest distance or the fastest time to complete the event determined the winners.
