The most significant race of the 2023/2024 HYROX season has been announced. The 2024 HYROX World Championships will occur on June 7-9. 2024, at the Palais des Expositions – Nice Acropolis in Nice, France. The competition will feature Elite and Age Group divisions, including singles and doubles races, and will pay out a $150,000 prize pool.
The Elite 15 races for the Men’s and Women’s divisions, featuring athletes in each division with the fastest 15 race times throughout the season, will occur on Friday, June 7. The Age Group races for singles competitors will take place a day later on June 8, and doubles races will happen on June 9.
Alongside the 2024 HYROX World Championships announcement came the reveal of the new season structure and qualification process for its Elite15 Series, which will include $300,000 awarded throughout the season. Check out the new structure below:

2023/2024 HYROX Season Structure & Qualification
Below is the updated HYROX season structure per their press release:
- Four Regional Major Races — $42,000 prize purse per event
- Participants qualify for the Majors through time placings in the year 2023. The top three times at each Regional Major earn spots at the HYROX World Championships.
- Two Last-Chance Qualifiers
- Open Field events held at the end of the Major’s season schedule provide one last opportunity to secure a spot at the HYROX World Championships.

2024 HYROX World Championships Schedule
Below is the day-to-day schedule of events for the 2024 HYROX World Championships at the time of this article’s publication:

Friday 7th June
- Athlete Registration, T-Shirt Collection, EXPO & Open Gym
- Opening Ceremony & Walk-In of Nations — 5:30 p.m.
- Elite 15 Races — 7:00 p.m.
Saturday 8th June
- Singles Age Group Races — 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Award Ceremonies Afterward
Sunday 9th June
- Doubles Age Group Races — 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Those who wish to watch the competition live in person in Nice, France, will be able to purchase tickets for any day of the action for €19 (~$20 USD). Three-day passes will be available for €50.

About HYROX
HYROX was founded in 2017 by Christian Toetzke, an international cycling, marathon, and triathlon veteran and German hockey player Moritz Furste. HYROX mixes endurance and functional fitness in a format that features eight exercise stations intertwined with single-kilometer runs.
The 2023/2024 HYROX season is projected to draw 175,000 participants worldwide, which would be a 1,081 percent participation increase since its inaugural season in 2018. HYROX will host over 65 races across 20 different countries in the 2023/2024 season.
