*IFBB PRO athletes, and athletes who qualified for IFBB PRO status but who have not yet registered with the IFBB Professional League, may only compete in contests that are sanctioned by the IFBB Professional League.

RULE 6 – This rule only applies to athletes who qualified, or who will qualify, for an IFBB PRO card on or after May 11, 2023.
*Athletes who qualified before May 11, 2023 must register before December 31, 2024.
- An athlete has up to one year from the date the athlete qualifies for an IFBB PRO card to register with the IFBB Professional League.
- An athlete may register:
- as an “Active” member if, at the time of registration, the athlete agrees to the terms and conditions of membership and pays the membership fee. An Active member receives an IFBB PRO card and may compete in IFBB PRO contests; or
- as an “Inactive” member if, at the time of registration, the athlete agrees to the terms and conditions of membership but does not pay the membership fee. An Inactive member does not receive an IFBB PRO card and may not compete in IFBB PRO contests.
- If an athlete does not register within one year of qualifying for an IFBB PRO card, the athlete’s qualification will be canceled.
- If an athlete registers as an Inactive member, the athlete has up to one year from the date of registration to become an Active member.
- If an athlete does not become an Active member within one year of the date of registration, the athlete’s membership will be canceled.
- If an athlete’s qualification or membership is canceled, the athlete may requalify at a Pro Qualifier contest.
*NOTE: “Register” means creating an account at ifbbpromembership.com and receiving a member number. Registering and paying the membership fee assigns “Active” member status. Registering without paying the membership fee assigns “Inactive” member status.
