This week is hit or miss with both training and diet for reasons I'll detail later on next week. I am getting training in but not as usual. Food is a challenge this week as well. Not so much what I'm eating, but getting enough. Again, details later.
It's a combination of factors, I think. One is just as you say. All amped up on adrenaline. Another is the "Restless Legs Syndrome." This is typically worse after intense exercise. Which explains why I never sleep well following leg day. I constantly feel like I have to stretch my legs...
Hockey game Tuesday night this week. Didn't sleep a wink afterwards until 6am. I stayed in the recliner all night so as not to disturb my wife's sleep, then went up to bed when she came down for breakfast and slept for 2-1/2 hours. No training Wednesday but worked on my house.
Hockey...
I'm getting frustrated and a little bit discouraged, truth be told. I was 191.2 this morning and similar yesterday. I've lost the fat that was accumulating around my waist, but zero muscle gains. Also, today is chest day and I've gotten weaker on bench press.
Some of this is probably...
Let me see if I can get this log going again:
I mentioned above I was going to add wind sprints to my workouts. Did that today. We have a nice treadmill that has been in storage since we moved 4 years ago. I got that moved into the gym with only a little rearranging. I figure I'll do my...
Thanks!
No fighting allowed in my league. There are only 4 teams and it's a "beer league," (though there's no booze allowed in the rink, so there isn't usually any drinking). I won't say everybody knows everybody else, but you get to know at least a few guys from every team, and the teams...
Sorry I've been absent. Not absent from the gym, though I haven't been able to be as consistent as I'd like. I had to be much more involved in the HVAC installation than I expected. I may be repeating myself here, can't remember if I mentioned this before or not: my wife and I are neck deep...
I don't know what causes it. I've heard of it for years, but never realized I had it. Some kind of neurological thing, I think. Some of the meds used to treat it are also used for Parkinson's disease. That's true of Ropinirole, which is what I'm taking currently.
This is definitely an experiment. I have very quickly developed a tolerance for this stuff. 1st night, I took a whole .25mg pill and slept like the dead, but like I said, had a bad hangover the next day. Fell asleep in the recliner after breakfast and never really got with it.
Next night, I...
It's been a minute... I've had some distractions last week. I had a deadline to get some heavy major work done on my house in preparation for the HVAC system being installed.
I also think I have my sleep issue figured out: I seem to have "Restless Legs Syndrome" which I've heard of but...
