What will the New Year bring, or better yet what will you bring into the new year?

I know, I am excited as shit for the new year and all the possible prospects!

2017 was one of the worst years in all honesty! Sadly it was the most profitable year ever for work. But Personal Life Bullshit was So bad it easily superseded all the business and work related good I was fortunate enough to have received.

So yeah, its weird, but This is the most I have ever been excited about the new year, at least that I can remember lol

So My Resolution if you will , is to stay away from the negative and work on my positive resonance!

Stay committed to a routine inside and outside the gym, as I have strayed from my routine recently and being the creature of habit that I am, it messed me up good.

#1 for me would be to improve my sleep. Insomniac, who cant get to sleep w/out some sort of help, whether it be Aleve PM, Unisom, Liquid ZZZquil, Phenibut, GABA, and when desperate Xanax or Ambien.
(I change these up as to not do any one of them more than twice in a week (Dependence), but it needs to stop...
Must be stress related (job, bunch of deaths happening around me of close friends / family, hormonal, etc).

At least going to try (tonight) sleepy time tea again, to at least go the natural route.

I am going to stop chasing the bulk train. At 50 years old and 6'3" and 250lbs I am no longer willing to eat the amount needed to add more and more muscle to my frame. It is time to get ripped and fit. So in 2018 I am getting lean and mean.

sorry to hear man! That sounds awful ! The friends around you dying I mean . From what?

To keep away from the tobacco...I haven't had cigarette in 13 weeks but I'm all out of Nicorette gum tomorrow...Lose about 70-80 pounds fat and water.

I’ve been really into mountain biking all year after having been away from it for a couple years. It’s become an obsession almost it's all i think about, I’m really passionate about it and I see the world through an mtb lens lol. Someone commented on our drought conditions and I just thought “that means dry trails, good.” Accordingly, my goals are related to riding faster, being able to ride further, jump higher, learn new skills all that kinda shit. To do so I need to weigh less and be stronger. I’m always mindful of wanting to weigh as little as possible while still wanting to be muscular with exceptional cardio endurance. I’ve ridden a lot of trails throughout 2017 and have some good baseline times to aspire to beat in 2018 and I’m really looking forward to the challenge.

Luckily riding and lifting has worked out well for me, I don't neglect the weights. I ride a couple hours every chance I get then come home and lift for about an hour. I’ve been on more of a high rep schedule lately but I think I’ll switch that up to heavier weight for lower reps and see how that affects my rides.

Outside of fitness I’m looking forward to wrapping up the certificate program I’m in and finding a new job since my company is ceasing operations in my city. Feeling optimistic about it and not freaking out…yet, lol.

2018 is gonna kick ass, let’s do this shit!!!

1. Treat my lady better. I was a total jackass this year. Why she puts up with me? I have no idea.
2. Bulking went great the past couple of months. Thanks to mecca :) Now it's time to cut up.
3. Overall just try and treat other people with respect.

Happy New Year..

Be a better father and husband.

Get absolutely shredded and grow some decent sized legs.

Amen to this. Yet I keep trying to bulk in the winter eventually not able to force food down and I stagnate. My body like being lean, so I am just counting the days until April when it is time to cut up and ride it through the summer.

Stay positive. I had just the opposite of presser when it comes to business. My income went down 60% from what it has been for 20 years. Complete disaster. I'm just going to stay positive. Keep lifting. STUFF IS IMPOSSIBLE,,,,,, UNTIL SOMEONE DOES IT. WHY NOT ME.

This is actually a pretty good thread. I'm not a "resolution" type - never have been. However, I do have a number of goals for this year, most of which I already started working towards in 2017, but this gave the opportunity to reflect a little bit amd sharpen my focus.

On the Business side, my wife and I started a venture towards the end of 16 which we wotked on diligently all of 17. This required a substantial investment of time and capital. So far we've more ot less broken even on the deals we've completed. But we learned a LOT. So for 18 the goal is to increase cash flow significantly. Positive cash flow, that is. The goal with this is to be able to quit my regular job in 5 years. Since 17 didn't result in any meaningful positive cash flow, gotta reset the 5 year counter for 18.

Also in the business side, I aim to not let my regular job ruin the rest of my life. What I mean by this is, my job frequently demamds schedule changes on shirt notice and overtime. This royally fucks with the rest of my life. It has caused me to lose the spot I had on the hockey team I was playing on because I ca hardly male any of the scheduled games. So, I intend to say "No" to work; gind as many places to play hockey as I can (I have 1 now; working on another 2 - between them i should be able to skate at least once a week regardless of when I'm working).

Fitness: I want to get down to around 5 or 6% fat and remain over 200 lbs. I'm currently right at 200 and probably 10 or 11%.

Other: I have a 3 year old construction project going on: building a garage. I aim to complete that project, all aspects and details, and get rid of any remaining leftover materials from it. I have a tendency to stop with minor details hanging amd figure I'll get to the "small stuff" when convenient. Plus, I keep shit lying around "just in case". Well, convenient never happens, amd niether does just in case. So, get the shit done amd take out the trash, already!

Good to see a lot of us didnt just write bullshit here lol, and actually detailed the upcoming years “Action Steps” but I gotta say EMW14 , with your statement about finally getting rid of shit that you’ll never “just incase need”. GOOD for you man! My wife is like this, likely way worse, a true pack rat lol and I know its hard if you have that mind set like my wife does. My thinking is “When in doubt...Throw it Out” and if I need it down the road ill just go buy it! I fucking hate clutter! I dont like any kind of “nick nacks” in the house, I like clean open and empty spaces, aside from furniture , tables and such, but im a minimalist , of course wife loves filling every space of the table, or shelf with shit lol

Anyhow, best of luck to all of you! I TRULY Hope each of you is able to reach your goals! Its a DOG EAT MOTHER FUCKING DOG WORLD , so may GOD Bless All of your endeavors!!!

EMW14, what kind of business are you and the wife running on side until its in the black enough? If u dont mind my asking.

I wish my wife thought like me, or had any sense of entrepreneurship in her, but nope lol Your lucky in that regard daddio!

Well make sure you read all of my post lmao, cause last year as a whole sucked donkey balls, and I had to do some serious SOUL Searching and in truth I haven't had an epiphany or revelation of any kind yet!!
