Men’s Open Athletes to Watch
Below are three Men’s Open competitors who are likely to contend for podium positions:
Roman Fritz
Germany’s Roman Fritz has been a popular pro since he arrived on the scene, but he has yet to earn his first win. The closest he has come so far was at the 2023 Mr. Big Evolution Pro, where he finished second to Andrea Presti.
Fritz may be knocking on the door of his first win and Olympia qualification, but he would have to look at least as good as he did at his last show, and being even better would increase his chances significantly.

Emir Omeragic
Emir Omeragic has appeared in three shows so far this season, and he’s placed in the top three twice. One of those finishes came at the 2023 Mr. Big Evolution, one position behind Fritz. His worst finish was ninth at the Empro Pro. He ranked second in this contest in 2021.
Krystian Wolski
Wolski was in the 2023 Mr. Big Evolution show, placing fourth. He was also eighth overall at the 2023 Empro Pro. This will be his third show in 2023 after taking the entire 2022 season off. Should he win, it will be his first career Olympia qualification.
Bikini Athletes to Watch
The Bikini class is stacked, and the trio of athletes below are likely to battle for the crown.
Ivanna Escandar
Ivanna Escandar is already qualified for the Olympia thanks to winning the 2022 Bigman Weekend Pro. It was the only show in 2022 that had 2023 Olympia qualifications on the line.
If Escandar wins this contest, no qualification will be issued, as only winners advance to the Olympia for the 2023 season. This will be Escandar’s 2023 season debut. In two years, she has eight wins.
Kristina Brunauer
This will be Kristina Brunauer’s sixth show of the 2023 season. She has placed as high as second and as low as 12th. The third-year pro is trying to qualify for the Olympia for the third consecutive year. She finished outside the top 15 in the 2021 and 2022 Olympia contests.
Claudia Clemente
Claudia Clemente has had an up-and-down 2023 season. She was fourth at the 2023 Empro Pro but was out of the top 15 at the Mr. Big Evolution Pro less than one month later. She is searching for her first pro win and Olympia invite. She was fifth in this contest in 2022.
