Men’s Open Winner — Tonio Burton
Burton took his second Men’s Open victory and third overall by displaying great symmetry and more size than when he was last onstage at the 2022 Mr. Olympia contest. He finished outside of the top 15 at that show.
Burton will return to the Olympia stage thanks to this win and added his name to a list of New York Pro winners, which includes Blessing Awodibu (2022), Nick Walker (2021), Dexter Jackson (2016).
Second Place — Stuart Sutherland
The judges gave Burton the nod for first place, but Sutherland didn’t make it easy for him. The judges put them through numerous head-to-head comparisons to make their decisions.
This was Sutherland’s second pro contest and the first of 2023. He last competed in the 2022 Tampa Pro, where he placed seventh. The 2022 NPC USA Champion showed many improvements and has the potential to win a pro show later this season should he compete again.
Third Place — Josef Kveton
Kventon of the Czech Republic may have been the biggest surprise in the field. He was the fourth-place finisher at the 2023 Arnold Classic Brazil show. This was his second pro show of 2023; his rookie season.
Kveton turned pro at the 2022 NPC Worldwide 10X Ben Weider Pro Qualifier event. Like Sutherland, he stands a strong chance of winning a future pro show if he competes again in 2023.

Other Notes
Aimee Leann Delgado won her fourth Bikini contest of 2023. She also won the 2023 Klash Series Championships, the 2023 Wasatch Warrior Pro, and the 2023 Pittsburgh Pro one week before the New York Pro. She confirmed to BarBend that she will now focus on the Olympia, as that will be her next contest.
2022 Women’s Physique Olympia winner Natalia Abraham Coelho won her second straight contest of the season. She previously won the Women’s Physique title in Pittsburgh.
The next Men’s Open show on the 2023 IFBB calendar is the 2023 California Pro, scheduled for May 27, 2023, in Anaheim, CA.
