The 2023 Sheru Classic Pro India show was held in Delhi, India, on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Four IFBB Pro League divisions were represented, with 35 competitors entered across all divisions.
The three men’s winners were Andrei Melnikov in 212 bodybuilding, Vahid Badpei in Classic Physique, and Bhuwan Chauhan in Men’s Physique, and the Bikini division title went to Jil Meret Schmitz.

212 Winner — Andrei Melnikov
Meinikov made his second pro contest appearance and his first since 2021, when he took eighth place at the Europa Pro Championships. Both prejudging and finals were scored in this show, and Meinikov was the unanimous winner amongst the judges. As a result, Meinikov scored his first pro win and is the ninth entrant into the 2023 Olympia 212 contest, slated for Nov. 2-5, 2023 in Orlando, FL.
Classic Physique Winner — Vahid Badpei
Iran’s Vahid Badpei won the second career pro show, placing first in both rounds of judging. He previously won the 2022 Thailand Pro. He qualified for the Olympia for the second time in his career. He qualified in 2022 but didn’t compete. If Badpei competes in the 2023 edition, it will be his Olympia debut.

Men’s Physique Winner — Bhuwan Chauhan
Bhuwan Chauhan was the only athlete from the host country to win at this show. He is the first athlete from India to qualify for the 2023 Men’s Physique Olympia. This was his third show of the 2023 season, following two third-place finishes at the 2023 Toronto Pro Supershow and 2023 Optimum Classic Pro.
Bikini Division Winner — Jil Meret Schmitz
The Bikini division saw several athletes bring their best physiques to the stage. Jil Meret Schmitz was the best in the eyes of the judges, and she earned her second professional win. Schmitz will return to the Bikini Olympia with a goal of placing in the top 15 for the first time; something did not do in the 2022 contest.

Other Notes
Three-time Arnold Classic champion Kai Greene was a special guest at this show, and Men’s Open pro Vlad Suhoruchko made a guest posing appearance. The next 212 division show will be the Mr. Big Evolution Pro show in Estoril, Portugal, on July 9, 2023.
