Every winter, the Wodapalooza team transforms Miami’s Bayfront into a multi-day fitness festival that attracts people from all over the world. In Sept. 2022, Wodapolooza — an offseason staple in the CrossFit community — announced a new format, a $500,000 prize purse to be spread across divisions, along with their first-ever title sponsor, TYR Sport.
The event, now called TYR Wodapalooza in honor of its new sponsorship, will take place from Jan. 12-15, 2023, marking the 11th year for this growing event. Last year, Wodapalooza had over 40,000 attendees, with 2,000 competitors from 50 different countries.

There are two big notes to make about this updated prize purse, which is spread across the Elite Individuals, Elite Teams, Masters Division, and Adaptive RX:
There does not appear to be $1,000 event win pay-outs for the Elite Individuals like in 2022.
The Elite Individual winners will win $25,000 less compared to last year ($100,000), but the Elite Teams prize purse has doubled as well as first place for the Masters Division.

This shortened competition schedule will allow the Elite Individual athletes to also compete in the Team Division, giving them the chance to earn money in both divisions.

The format changes will only effect the Elite Individuals and Teams, as other divisions will still compete across the whole weekend (Friday through Sunday).
