Hello! I posted my welcome message in the general forums and was directed here to ask for 3J! Here is a quick overview:
I'm a 35 year old male, 195lbs, 28% BF and I'd like to lean down, gain some definition, and do it in the most efficient way possible. My issues are as follows; I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at age 14 and have been on Synthroid ever since. I don't believe the medicine is doing much, but the doctors say that my levels look good while on the meds. I feel like my metabolism is non-existent. I'm never hungry and find it hard to eat enough calories to burn fat and fuel my body. It is a never ending cycle. When I do force myself to consume and stick to my plan, fat melts off.
I was diagnosed pre-diabetic with insulin resistance when I was 18 and was on metformin for about seven years. When I hit 30 I decided to fix that and started eating keto-specific; high-quality animal fats, low/no carb, no sugars, and no grains. That dramatically changed my life. I went from about 230 down to 175 at my lowest and felt great. This was without exercise, but was very strict and difficult to sustain. My current diet is primarily keto-specific, but I cheat on occasion and am not eating enough. While I have gained some weight back, my waist is not much larger than it was at my lowest point.
My plan is to start on a diet and exercise regimen that is sustainable and efficient. I have access to a gym at my office and could realistically do 3-5 days a week for 30-45 minutes per day. I'm open to a discussion about bio-hacking and short term chems, but want to stay away from AAS. Given my thyroid condition, apparent sensitivity to the high levels of gluten in modern food, and potential insulin resistance, please let me know what you'd recommend! My family and I grow a lot of what we eat, order locally from beyond organic sources, and are as close to raw/natural/fresh as we can get. I know that the food is the best fuel!
Thanks in advance and I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

And...my image somehow didn't work as well as I thought it would. Uploading new stats...
