Two-time Classic Physique Olympia champion Breon Ansley has developed an updated physique with more muscle mass thanks to the updated weight caps that allow him to add more muscle tissue to his frame. Three weeks from the 2023 Olympia, he was ready to show off his new aesthetics.

Currently weighing in at 194 pounds, Ansley aims to cut down to the new cap of 187 pounds based on his height before the 2023 Olympia. He’ll vlog every other day to showcase his diet during the cut. On Oct. 20, 2023, Ansley published a video on his YouTube channel wherein he performed the requisite poses to display his physique three weeks before the 2023 Olympia. Watch it below:

Breon Ansley’s Conditioning & Posing
Ansley eschewed carbs and fats for more protein in his diet before the above posing session. Combined with cardio and his resistance training programming, Ansley is on target to hit his desired conditioning. His posing conditioning is reaching new heights — he can vacuum his core for 25-30 seconds.

Ansley performed three rounds of posing, comprised of five-second holds for each pose. He posed in a specialized room with many angled mirrors so he could analyze himself.

“The body changing as we’re going. [Getting] deeper cuts, lines, more separation, more density, more roundedness, [and more] pop.
Ansley’s practiced his posing than he typically does during prep because of his added muscle tissue. At a higher weight than ever before for the Olympia, Ansley gets to rediscover his optimal angles.

The separation in Ansley’s trapezius and latissimus dorsi muscles is particularly eye-catching. His vacuum continues to improve, but he’s learned how challenging they are after three rounds of posing — not an uncommon expectation for what he might be asked to do on the Olympia stage. Most poses involve flexing the entire body throughout each hold, so a full posing circuit is physically taxing.

At the end of the three rounds, Ansley felt his posing and conditioning were on target needs. The 2023 Olympia is set for Nov. 2-5, 2023, in Orlando, FL. If Ansley brings his A-game, the new weight caps could shake up any affected division.
