Abdominal pain

I've developed a pain in my abdomen that's been with me for a couple of months. I believe it might have been caused by too much strain during dead lifts, and so I took it easy for a little while. It seemed to go away, but I really feel it again now that I've transitioned into high intensity training. I never used to wear a belt, but I started to recently and that significantly mitigates the pain. Actually, it probably eliminates it all together. However, I still feel slight pain/discomfort while at work or just walking around. Hell, even a sneeze will hurt if I don't hold my stomach in with my hand.

Any ideas about what might be going on? Kind of sounds like a hernia, does it not? I don't feel anything protruding but I do feel discomfort seemingly originating from behind my belly button.

Any ideas on what it might be or how I can heal?

Generally support, like an abdominal binder and rest. I know rest is a bad word to us lifters so try using an abdominal binder at work, walking or during any physical exertion.

Got it. I suspect you're right on, here. I'll look into a binder and in the meantime, be more careful for the next few months.
