acne question

I've battles with acne since i was a teenager. Pretty much stopped getting it on my face when i was about 19 but it moved to my back. Still hasn't went away. Needless to say it has gotten worse since i started my cycles. I have access to some minocycline and tetracycline but i didn't know if i should take it or not while i was cycling. I guess my question to you guys is will either of these antibiotics mess with my cycle? And if so what could i do to help my back?:(

I'm having pretty good gains right now and I just don't want anything to mess with that. And I hear that you should stay away from certain antibotics while your on a program

accutane but the sides are bad...

your crazy bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
X-girlfriend started that shit. I did some research on it. Real bad side effects. She had to sign a waiver from her doc. it said stuff like Causes massive depression, People have killed themselves off of this drug. Do not get pregnat while on this drug wil cause sever retardation. Just all kinds of stuff like that. The doc. recommended that she see a shrink while on the meds.
Not for me bro.

ACCUTANE is the best.

There is no better treatment for acne and one long treatment (usually about 4 months) takes care of the problem in most cases for ever.

There is a lot of hype over the side effects - most of it much exagerated.

Dermatologists don't like to prescribe it to their patients because they know they are going to lose them soon (as the acne ends).

Antibiotics are only temporary solutions.

I did couple of treatments of Accutane. Side effects - dry skin, dry eyes. I use eye drops.

Suicidal thoughts while on it seem to me ridiculous claim. Parents of neglected teens always look for some explanations when the tragedy happens. They want to blame somebody else and get for it big $$$ from the pharmaceutical companies. Quite a contrary - I was very happy seeing my skin improving on daily bases! Why the hell I would want to commit a suicide now that I looked better then ever?

Still don't believe me? Check out these sites:

Shit lamasta is wacked nothing could make him worse.

I've used tetra. before and no problems and now I use Minocin because you can take it with dairy products.

well, when you go on a broad spectrum antibiotic such as tetracycline, you eliminate some of your natural microbial flora in your intestines... meaning that you'll have a harder time absorbing certain vitamins and minerals. but it shouldn't affect you to so much, you'll still grow if you eat right. also, to nurish and regenerate your bacterial flora, eat lots of yogurt while on antibiotics. I've had the same problem as you before... it still comes and goes. my doc put me on 500mg tetra twice daily, and that worked wonders on acne. the only bad part is, you have to take it on an empty stomach and wait one hour b4 eating, and you become very sensitive to UV light.

Phabio thanks for the info on accutain. Just one more question. What is the uv factor on accutain. Like poopoo was saying with the tetra. I know you have to stay out of uv light . I think it causes you to burn more quickly. Does accutain have the same effect cause it is coming into summer and i do love the sun? But what good does the sun do if i'm to embarased to take off my shirt and enjoy it cause of my back. Huh feel like i'm faced with a real delima here.

A lot of drugs - if you read carefuly their side effects' descriptions - cause higher sensitivity to the sun.

It is not like you are going to burn the moment you walk out from the house. Neither on Accutane nor Minocycline (or Tetracycline) I did not notice much of a difference. But this might also vary on your skin type. You might want to watch out when spending your first days on the sun after a winter - these are the times you get burnt easy. Once you get some color on your skin I don't see much difference when on Accutane. Besides you can always use protective lotions with higher UV factor.

Sun and ocean water does great things to your skin as well.
