Body fat minimum for a cycle after a long break

I have a friend that is 20 percent easy and i told him he needs to drop some fat before getting on a cycle. What would you say is the most he should be at to start. I told him 15 would show me he is dedicated to getting into this but 12 would be great.
 
That's tough to say 20 might be right on the edge but definatly wouldn't recomend doing it over 20 and ofcourse 15 would be better but you can be pretty jacked and look decent at 15 so 20 might be ok to start if u ask me

The real question is the type of stuff to use which would vary alot for a guy at 20 opposed to much lower % guy
 
IDK, to me a measured 14% is morning abs with vasularity in the arms shoulders, upper chest and lower legs. People exagerate so much about their BF most of us think 10% is common place for someone in decent shape. The reality is most guys, I'd say 80%, that are in decent shape in the gym are probably 13% and up.
