Boron is a non-essential dietary mineral that some have proposed to be a testosterone booster. This proposal has mostly been based off of rodent studies or subject populations of post-menopausal women. Results with other populations are scarce and conflicting so there’s really no conclusive evidence that boron is an effective testosterone booster – let alone if any small boost in testosterone from boron would be meaningful for long term gains. The cited study is the lone investigation in which we do see a small increase in testosterone. Ultimately, boron is most likely a waste of time and money for bodybuilders.
