Can’t Concentrate? Could Be Low Testosterone

By George Touliatos, MD

Q: I’ve been suffering from a foggy mind and lack of concentration. What should I do, doc?A: Usually, this is a symptom that follows those men who are of low testosterone. So, testosterone and DHT or mesterolone can help a lot for concentration and cognitive function. Other supplements that can help in brain metabolism and memory are:
-Acetyl-Carnitine -Ginkgo Biloba-Phosphatidylserine -Pregnenolone -DHEA -Tyrosine with caffeine
Moreover, physical activity improves circulation and oxygen supply to the brain. Furthermore, playing chess is a good way to sharpen your mind. Listening to the radio is by far better than watching TV, because it helps with imagination. A good night’s sleep of eight straight hours is necessary to refuel the brain, always going to bed before midnight and sleeping between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
