I probably would have killed myself if I didn't have a chiropractor.
20 years ago I was a truck driver, and hit a huge pothole that totally phucked up my neck. I saw in quadruplicate, lost all feeling in my arms, went dizzy and nauseas, and felt like a knife was sticking in my head. The only thing that cured me - usually within minutes - was a good chiro who knew how to do neck/head manual adjustments.
Last Thanksgiving, I slept in a strange bed and my neck slipped out again...I was on the floor in fetal position for most fo the day, in so much pain I couldn't bear to move. Every odor, every sensation, even the light going on -hurt like hell. My mom-in-law is a nurse, and gave me a ton of "good" prescription drugs, and nothing worked. They finally found a chiro willing to take me in for an emergency adjustment. They carried me in to his office, he knew right away that my "C1" and Occiput were twisted in *opposite* directions, and adjusted me.
Within 1 hour, I was back to normal. I mean it when I say i couldn't bear to live with out a good chiro near by.
