1) The people that don't care are typically people that are not on the frontlines of healthcare
2) Comparing anything to something else (death vs death caused by) is an idiotic way to think.
(100 years ago the flu killed 56 million people with no planes going back & forth, no amazon
packages etc) ie "The flu kills more then wars have, so wars are never a big deal."
3) If you work in a cubicle & can't staple something for a few days bc you ran out of supplies
wtf cares. When the hospitals are overwhelmed already due to massive understaffing, & have no
supplies people die.
4) For a Country with the biggest defensive budget in the World, the lack of supplies stocked, the meds
needed only coming from China & India so pharma can make 9000% profit on each drug instead of 2000%
is called Gross Negligence. (Understand why it's important to actually oversee High dollar budgets yet?
Understand why pharma should not be looked at like Apple or LG yet? (ie asinine increase of prices of insulin
or epipens).
5) Someone just mentioned "there are only 11 positive cases in all of Indian River County. (sounds like nothing
worry about huh?) The pertinent info left out is: ONLY 99 WERE TESTED. For those of you who truly like figures,
that is showing greater than 11% positive currently for that County.
6) This just started. We haven't seen the extent of how this will move, how long until a vaccine (Fall has been predicted)
How many people will refuse the vaccine, how many will be out of work, how any robberies will become of this.
So as much as it does suck to be out of work on forced furloughs, how much it sucks not knowing if there will be a job to
go back to, a business to have, etc, we have to try to slow the transmission so we can get a hold of this.
7) You should be worried about every disease.
8) Something not even spoken on yet is lack of filters for anesthesia machine. At a local 550 bed Hospital with usually 50-65
cases a day, they had about 200 filters left (with no idea when they will get more). If they don't put those on the entire machine
has to be cleaned internally. You don't use them on asymptomatic patients, patients could have it for 14 days before they show
signs, & yesterday they were still doing elective cases. Smart right?
