Cutting Injection Pain

Here is some quick tips to cut the pain from an injection. (feel free to add more to my list)

- Add B12 to the shot
- Add some sterile oil to the shot
- Warm the shot up to make it less viscous. Do this by running warm water over the syringe, roling it between your hands, or even putting it in the microwave for a few seconds (without the pin in it....).
- Put heat on the injection area
- Massage the injection area
- Use less volume in your shots (instead of putting 3 mls in one spot at once, try using only 1.5 mls and inject into two different spots)

I would caution about heating in the microwave. If this method is used test your oven with some oil in pin first to see how fast it heats up. Also be carfull some of the juce can seep out after it has warmed up.

Also caution running pin under tap water before inj. "Unless a new point is used before inj. Most tap water has enough bacteria to cause an infection.

You don't put water on the pin.... Just the barrel to heat the oil...

My rear has been hurting for 3 days now. I couldent sleep the night after I injected. OUCH! I will try a few of these methods though. Good post. BUMP!

same here b-12 does not reduce pain actually did a few b-12 injects that hurt.
I would use weak or painless oil non aas or something painless to dilute down...deca or eq usually works well 1 cc test to 1 cc plain usp grade oil or painless gear (1:1 ratrio).
I also heat in microwave without pin in for a few seconds and shake it up when warm and put 23 ga tip on and push extra air out..seems to help injects go in easier and mix the together the aas good.
oil and water don't mix so diluting with bac water is not possible.

If doing in thighs or delts best IMO to be done right before working the muscle when muscle is relaxed and not tense. Pain usually come 8 hrs and last up to a few days with some shots.

I would make sure area is relaxed much as possible and inject slowly with plunger..like 30 secs per cc and keeping from moving needle as much as possible when injected will help eliminate post injection pain.

Make sure sterile gear when doing on-sites if you get infection or abscess would be disfiguring and scar is done in arms. Placement when hitting bi's and tri's is also important when doing arms as area tends to swell. A bad placed shot will make ya looks deformed for a while if you don't hit the tri in right spot and can leave lumpy look.

Read something interesting tonite in Muscular Development(?)...put the pin in the freezer and inject while it is cold....will help with pain from the pin going in....of course it will not help pain from the injected substance .....
