Winner — Daniele Mendonca
Mendonca’s first pro win came in only her second pro show. Pre-judging was the only round scored in this contest — Mendonca won it with a perfect score. She advances to the 2023 Wellness Olympia, where she will aim to make first callouts against two-time defending Olympia champion and fellow Brazilian competitor Francielle Mattos.
Second Place — Andrea Hrenko
Andrea Hrenko first garnered attention from fans and experts with her second-place rank to Rayane Fogal at the 2023 Tampa Pro. That made her a favorite in this contest, though the judges had her in second place unanimously.
The 2022 Arnold Amateur winner needs to win a pro show to qualify for the Olympia. She has until Oct. 9, 2023, to accomplish that task.
Third Place — Marina Martins
This was Marina Martins’ 2023 season debut. She competed three times in 2022 and finished as high as third. She looked much better in this appearance, displaying how much improvement she made in her previous off-season.
A bronze-medal finish is a rank to be proud of, especially considering how strong her competition on the podium was. Martins still has time to win a pro show and will likely reach first callouts at any contest she competes in between now and the Oct. 9 cutoff.
The next Wellness show scheduled on the IFBB calendar is the 2023 Heart of Texas Pro contest on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, in Irving, TX.
