So my deadlifts are coming along but Im wondering what kind of rep range you guys do. My lungs cant seem to handle more than 10. Doesnt matter if its light of heavy. I have excersice induced asthma but my conditioning needs improved. I know Dude and Big WV love these. I think Big WV loves "rack pulls" if my memory serves. Ive never tried but would like to. Also, I bought this trap bar that you step inside of and I hear guys do deads with it. Has anyone tried that?
 
Deads always tax the shit out of me. I've never gone above 16 reps because my cardio fails me. I play hockey and cardio conditioning is pretty good but it doesn't translate to deads for me. I'm interested in other options as well!
 
I can get up to 15 maybe more before all I see is stars and blackness. It just depends on the day. If I don't think I'll get at least 9 or 10 I won't use that weight. Deadlifts are one of those things where I drown out everything and tell myself "up" on each rep. I have to be in the mood and the right mix of stimulants.
