Does Masteron (DHT, Drostanolone Propionate) Lower / Decrease Cortisol Levels?

:::Q:::
"Area, does Masteron have an effect on Cortisol? Does it decrease cortisol levels?"

~Dave Q

:::A:::
Research shows that Dihydrotestosterone inhibits the HPTA stress response by cross-activating estrogen-Receptor beta, this causes a decrease in circulating corticosteroids, strong compounds, like Masteron, tend to have direct blocking action on Cortisol, by acting both at the hypothalamus and by acting on beta-endorphin related pathways [!].

So Yes, Masteron absolutely can lower Cortisol levels.

Perhaps not as much as more ''official'' cortisol blockers, but it does to an extent.

The androgen 5alpha-dihydrotestosterone and its metabolite 5alpha-androstan-3beta, 17beta-diol inhibit the hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenal response to stress by acting through estrogen receptor beta-expressing neurons in the hypothalamus.
