My lady and i competed recently. She blew away the competition. She competed in the 165-181lb female open class, as well as sub masters 33-39. She set 2 national records and 8 state records for this federation between the two divisions. She also won a nice chunk of change for winning best overall female lifter.

I believe she weighed in around 168 or 169 or something. Anyways, this was her second cycle of PCT-SHOP.COM Anavar and the results were mind blowing. She ran a 6 week cycle leading up to her last meet. Took 6 weeks off. Then ran a second cycle for 6 weeks leading up to this meet. Within the 6 week break she only lost a very small percentage of the strength she gained. Once she started the second cycle up she got it back almost immediately and then just continued to push forward. All in all in those 12 weeks her squat increased almost 50lbs, her bench 25lbs, and her deadlift almost 90lbs!

Her best lifted in the competition were a 320lb squat, although she was given a 4th attempt due to record breaking purposes and went for 330. She only missed the lift due to a technicality and an error on her behalf before she even started the squat attempt.

Her best bench was 185. She was playing conservative because shes currently hitting 200 in the gym

And her best deadlift was 380. She was given a 4th attempt on this also but decided to pass on it. She easily has 400 in her though.
There was no A.C. at the competition and it was over 100 degrees out so it greatly effected everyones performance. Anyways, a little bit of pct shop var goes a long way.

Why did her 330 not count? From the video I didn't see anything wrong. Then again, I don't know powerlifting rules, so it may be something very obvious. lol

I noticed it right away during the competition and knew they would call her on it but you have to look close in the video. Notice before she starts her descent she does a small up and down adjustment. Basically it's considered downward movement. Once the judge has given the squat command, the bar can only go down and then up. In other words you can't go down a little bit, come back up, and go back down for the full squat. All it looked like she was trying to do was readjust the bar on her back.

Damn Bro.. that's STRONG! Silk is in the 160's when she's in her best shape, but that's crazy strong
 
That is not fair weight classes at all. Just my opinion though.


I disagree, just because everyone has the ability to come in at the top of their class. I walk around at 205-210, I cut down to 198. I actually have friends that water cut from 220 to 198 in 24 hours.

For instance lets take the 165-181 class. if you're 172 then either gain weight to fill out the your class or drop a measily 7.5 lbs to get in the class under so that you come in at the top.

Since the weight classes are like 15lb differences it gives you the ability to either come in at the top of your class or easily drop a few lbs of water and get in the class underneath you.

Weigh ins are pretty much always 24 hours before competition, so you can get away with some pretty silly water cuts and still be able to fuel back up for the meet.

My very first meet I wanted to compete in the 181 class but I was like 193. I stopped eating and drinking completely for a little less than a day before weigh in. The next morning I went and weighed in at 179. I spent the whole day pigging out and by the end of the day (the night before the competition) I had actually got up to 194. I felt great the next day.
 
Been almost 2 weeks off the var an she's still getting stronger. She hit a 210lb bench yesterday, which was a 10lb PR. And a few days ago pulled 315x6 and 365x2. Doing well.
 
We cut weight too, we just have a narrower window. I can either compete in the 165 or 181. So really a 175lb guy has no choice but to cut a little bit. Or he can be freakishly strong and compete lower than the min weight.
