Give Blood, Get it!!

Hematocrit is the ratio of red blood cells to total volume of your blood. A normal ratio is around 45 for men and 40 for women. It's very important to keep this ratio bc too many RBCs can cause your blood to become more viscous, sludgy and harder to pump. If you workout, and if you take any type of exogenous hormones/androgens, either of those things can cause your body to increase its total RBC count, and by extension increase your hematocrit ratio.

Especially if you take certain steroids like anadrol and equipoise,as these were designed specifically to increase RBC(anadrol was originally for anemia). Donating blood every 8 weeks is a great way to not only thin out your blood and reduce your hematocrit ratio, but also potentially save lives. I strongly suggest if you are a bodybuilder/powerlifter/competitor or gym rat who takes anything that resembles androgens, including prohormones and precursors, to get your hematocrit levels checked and donate blood every 8 weeks. Your health should be always be your first concern.

Good info.. I've been donating for the past 5 years. At first I had to because my crit was in the mid 50's. After awhile it just becomes a habit.

And for those of us that can't give blood, well I just drain some. Fyi I have all the needed necessities to access my veins. Perks of having a rare blood disorder. Pro's and con's to everything I guess.

Wait until the vampires come a knock'n!!

Damn, now that is going hardcore!!!
Gotta do what we gotta do if healthy is the main concern in this lifestyle. I know by experience (bloodwork) my hematocrit levels run high which in turn makes my blood pressure high. Hence the "hardcore" drain. I wouldn't recommend this to just anyone but for me having all the supplies to access intravenously it's a no brainer.

I have hep c antibody. No active virus But they can't use my blood anyway.
PLUS I have JAK 2 gene mutations polycythemia too.

My Dr gives me order good for 1 year to drain 1 pint as needed. Its free of charge

Called Theraputic phlebotomy.
They dont use blood on people but its used for research!!!

They prick finger test as long as I am over 13 I can dump!!!

I can't double red as it's too cost and time consuming for them.

In have been doing this 5 years. I dump usually 12 pints a year.

For whatever reason since starting hgh and t3 I haven't went or had to dump since September.

An at 16-17 now gonna go!!!
But no matter how high I am not only allowed but can go 2x a week or as needed.
3x in 4 weeks hurt me But u was 21 hemo first time that time...

I had never donated before, but after I began TRT they started telling me to donate because my blood count was too high. So now I donate every time I become eligible again.

so do you all give blood when you use things like finasteride (proscar)? will it make a big difference? i haven't really had any problems with high hematocrit, but have had thick blood. i want to give, but i also take finasteride.

Shouldn't be a problem bro. Omega 3 thins out blood a little bit. Aspirine lowers the risk for bloodclots (don't think it thins out the blood). O-T has some blood-thinning characteristics.

can't take fish or flax seed oil. i get earaches, then an infection from it. i know, it's weird, but it happens just the same. i eat tuna once in a while, just because i know it's good for me and gives me variety in my diet, lol. i hate fish though, so i help mask the taste with sweet pickle relish, which i don't care for either, lol.
i take 4 baby aspirin regularly to thin my blood. they give 4 baby aspirin to patients believed to be having a heart attack on squad to help break clots, if i'm not mistaken. the baby aspirin just makes it easier on my stomach. i took it before my last blood draw and the blood flowed quite well.

First thing first. There is no such thing as a blood thinner. Fish oil and aspirin only makes it harder for your platelets to clot. Most people don't know this but exogenous testosterone also does this. This is why it's smart to come off testosterone before any type of surgery. The only two ways that I'm aware of to lower the viscosity of blood is by donating whole blood and eating/drinking grapefruit. Yes, grapefruit. I gave it shot a few years ago and it did drop my numbers. You would think having thick blood would clot faster, but no :).. Just donate and be done with it.

I'm not that knowledgeable in this topic. You probably know better than me. I got most of my information from the interwebs
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anticoagulant

And you are right. When taking some PEDs like EQ, it's best to just donate blood to lower bloodvolume.
