I have a lot to say on this subject bro.
About 6 months ago my diet was still terrible, I ate all kinds of bullshit, I felt like garbage, couldnt focus at work, felt like I had ADHD but without the energy, swollen lymphnodes, bloat that I could not get to go down regardless of how low I took calories. I also got terrible migraines that would last for days, foggy train of thought kinda like you feel on a day when you are super hung over. I started to notice this more and more, even if i had 1 beer which is full of gluten as you probably already know, I would feel like I had a bad hangover the next day couldnt think straight brain was just in a fog.
Well I did an experiment. I cut out all gluten, you will be surprised what all it is in for a full weekend I followed this practice being extremely careful. i could not believe how I felt. Like a different person, my mind was back to normal I was thinking ahead of everything planning ahead seeing things before they happened the way I used to feel. Just all in all Happy, not to mention I lost like 10 pounds in water weight no lie the first 5 days.
give it a shot bro and see how you feel I have been doing it for about like i said 6 months now and I can tell when i get "glutened" I took a spoonfull of my girls peanut butter about 2 weeks ago she double dips her bread then back into the PB and the next morning it dawned on me what I had done. Brain fog, headache from hell and felt hungover. I even started getting a rash from it dermatitis herpetiformoris i believe is the name that can be caused by gluten for people that are celiac, or gluten intolerant.
If you are going to try it you have to do it 100% balls out bro. that means not using any of your pans that you have used gluten in, non stick anyways, any of the scuff marks can hold gluten particles for months even after running multiple times through the dishwasher. Plastic spatulas, same thing.
If you have any questions feel free to pm me or ask in this thread I will be more then happy to help.
My main sources of carbs are cream of buckwheat, minute (parboiled rice), which is actually better for you insulin resistance wise and low gi then standard brown rice, regular buckwheat, gluten free granola, among several other things I buy but those are the mains. I am also cutting so its easier at this time, bulking will be a little more tough.
One more thing, check your body washes, lotions, etc.often times these can have wheat proteins in them as moisturizers etc.
I embraced the change since this is really going to help me maintain the body building lifestyle, I figured if i cant eat anything I want, I might as well be strict and get big as shit and lean as hell again. Best of luck to you bro, I have researched this topic for literally months on end so feel free to reach out.
