I wasn't on enough this weekend - as another Father- kudos to all of us who find a way to balance out family, work, friends, chores, children's activities, and training - it's a juggling act that sometimes the younger guys can't even imagine being able to do (I should know, I train with some).
It requires another type of dedication to go and train *after* a full day of work, then helping with supper, and clean-up, and homework, and odd jobs, and finally get out of the house to hit the gym near 10 pm...train, get home, grab snack, cool down a bit, shower, bed (sometimes around 1 am or so) then get up at 6 am and start over. As much as they say you should have 8 hours of sleep, or more, in my experience the people who can get it aren't fathers ;P
So here's to us - the overbooked, overworked, overtired guys who *still* bust our asses in the gym - and who find the time to make everything fit.
Happy Belated Father's Day
