HGH - No magic bullet

HGH has been around for a long time and still we have a host of miss information on the product. To many it is believed to be the fountain of youth and to other the best thing for building of mass. Let’s take a few moments and dissect the truth from fiction.

Human growth hormone is a peptide hormone that is a 191-amino acid, single-chain polypeptide that is synthesized, stored and secreted in the pituitary gland. HGH as it is called has been shown to improve strength in the skeletal muscle and tendons. HGH also has shown to increase protein synthesis and to increase in IGF1, which both have shown to helps to increase strength and muscle mass. The key factor is that that amount of muscle tissue that can be generated with HGH is unknown at this time, but what isknown is that when HGH is taken without the assistance of an anabolic agent, noticeable increase in strength or muscle mass should be expected unless a person is in a HGH deficit.

HGH by its self is not the mass maker that many people hold as a truth. It appears that an increase in strength of mass from HGH is an actual result of increased collagen synthesis. Any belief that HGH can substantially increase muscle mass and strength is false.

Human growth hormone has grown in popularity as a fat loss agent as well as anti-aging properties, and its ability to increase overall health. HGH has been shown to greatly accelerate lipolysis, the process where fats are broken down to be used as fuel. In fact, fat loss may not even be noticeable for the first 60 days. For this reason, it’s recommended to use HGH for no less than 3-6 months when the goal is fat loss. Growth hormone is a very powerful fat loss drug but results don’t happen overnight. As far as overall healthy, HGH plays a vital role in cellular repair and regeneration. This in itself can slow the overall aging process. HGH increases calcium retention, and strengthens bones. It has also been shown to drastically improve fracture healing. It can reduce cardiovascular disease, in Sweden, 104 patients who were growth-hormone deficient were studied for cardiovascular disease risk. These patients had higher body mass and triglyceride concentrations compared to controls. This suggests lipoprotein metabolism is altered by HGH deficiency, increasing the risk of cardiovascular disease. In the short term, many report an improvementof their skin, better sleep, and more energy from HGH treatment.

HGH is an extraordinary hormone. It lives up to its hype in certain areas and falls short in others. One thing it isn’t is amagic potion. Anyone that is thinking of trying HGH should do plenty of research while having realistic expectations.
