Hey guys, as the title says, How long did it take for you to feel "normal" or good after starting TRT. I'm on 9 weeks and still feel like crap, can't lose weight, tired all the time and developed a small case of gyno even tho Estradiol is low. I'm in touch with TRT doc and we are in the process of making adjustments but I'm just wondering how long this will take because I really feel like crap and am beginning to wonder if this is worth it. FYI, here is my protocol: 200mg Test Cyp/250iu hCG per week. AI discontinued after lab results showed estradiol was low.

Should have happened by now. I was feeling mine within 2-3 weeks and they say that it takes full effect within 5 weeks. If you are getting gyno already, the test is definitely there. They just need to give you something to fight the gyno, or you can get some anti-e or nolva bloat at the MuscleChemistry store to help. Also, they should check your blood to see where your levels are at and adjust them accordingly.

Yeah, Im with OX, you might need to have a look elsewhere for why your feeling the way you are. 9 weeks at 200mg a week of cypionate , truth be told, you should be feeling not just better but great at this point!

I was on an aromitase inhibitor but when my labs came back my estrogen was too low so they told me to come off. So I dont think anti-E or nolv will help.

When you say you still feel like "CRAP" how do you mean brutha? Honestly....

yeah, sounds that way to me, especially with your hormone levels being taken care of through trt, and all the outside life influences you say are normal or ok. So i would venture to guess it may be a seratonin or dopamine type thing?

Maybe look into some OTC Neuro Boosters, or ask your doctor, he should certainly know their are other issues if you still feel this way at 9 weeks of test cyp, espeically considering 200mg a week is a solid trt dosage and should certainly yield positive mood elevations!

I truly hope you figure it out daddio! Im just taking shots in the dark here as my wife is clinically depressed, she had to take a leave of absence from teaching last year due to depression, which started after she had given birth to our twins 5 years ago.

Chemicals change shit happens, its nothing to be embarressed over nor quiet about, ESPECIALLY QUIET ABOUT! take care of yourself daddio!!

Thanks for the help guys. I'm gonna see how things go after the Arimidex clears my system. If things don't get better, I will look into treatment for depression.

Presser is right! You need to get looked at brother. I will never forget my dad telling me that he wished he had the type of help available when he was younger. He said it would have changed his life for the better.

I spent 10 years on antidepressants, then started TRT and have been off them for a year.

Keep us up to date!

yes, I tend to get anxious over the dumbest things. I also tend to feel that situations are worse than they really are.

Sounds like you have a serious case of Human nature lol, sorry, not trying to make light of it, just being stupid, cause I use to say that to my wife all the time or use to when she would get anxious before we knew how bad it was, or rather before i knew how bad it was as she always said it was terrifying. My wifes anxiety is like nothing i have ever seen before, nor heard about people being this bad until talking to doctors and therapists etc.. SHE is notorious for making mountains outta mole hills, but she is bipolar and when i tell you its bad, i honestly can not describe it with words. Manic over the dumbest shit, talks a mile a minute like shes all coked up, or she doesnt say shit at all. So i get it and i hope you figure it out, they had my wife on all kinds of shit until they found what works best for her, so hopefully you get it figured out.

I know it can take years to finally diagnose an ongoing issue. Hows your memory? Short term specifically? I ask because thats finally when my wife got serious about doctors. She would ask me to come home early from work, and take her and kids to go out to eat, and i would get home 30 minutes later and she would be in her pajamas and didnt remember asking me to come home and go out and it got to the point where i wouldnt even say shit, i would just act like i just got done work and not bring it up otherwise world war 3. Anyhow, thats why asked about memory. I know "bipolar' sounds bat shit crazy, and it can be, lmao, until your on the right meds. Then its daily life business as usual, with a few manic spots here and there lol.

I do hope you get to the bottom of it brutha man! And Not suggesting your bipolar! Just pointing out my wife shared similar issues and she is in fact bipolar. Thast all

Appreciate all the support, guys. Things are slowly starting to get better as my hormone levels balance out. At least I'm trending in the right direction. Let's how it goes

My wife has been taking cbd oil for the last few weeks and it has made a huge difference with reducing her anxiety and depression.

When i started TRT it was from Dr.
I did alot more off bat because 47 was my total test...
So I fixed that after he said 3 months
AND loved when he said 6 months.

I wanted TRT for legal and already had high red blood so grabbed order as needed for phlebotomy after 3 months and double red blood with confirmed hep c antibody.
It's not active no virus but treated diseased for safety....

They are way too many factors. 1. Why did you physician start you off on the high end? 2. Are you sure your E2 was checked and NOT our estrogen? What were your baseline numbers? Not just total test, but free? 3. Do you plan on having more kids? If not, drop the HCG. Please post your numbers. Good luck brother
