Keep in mind, these are in no way meant to be replacements nor should they ever be claimed to be equal in potency to masteron, proviron etc...it is just simply something to take into consideration if possibly you have been diagnosed with a 5-AR deficiency, or if you suffer from E2 probs that come from low DHT.
In either case, there many other things that can help, these are just a few of the main ones.
Always remember, individuality is key.
Dihydrotestosterone (DHT, 5α-dihydrotestosterone, 5α-DHT) is an androgen (male hormone). Specifically it’s the strongest of the androgens.
Heck, most of the experts agree that DHT has 2-3 times greater androgenic – and 10 times stronger anabolic – effect in the body than testosterone does.
The truth is that most of the benefits that come from high testosterone levels, are actually caused by dihydrotestosterone, as DHT is made when this enzyme called 5-alpha reductase converts testosterone molecules into dihydrotestosterone molecules.
What’s even better is that DHT can’t aromatase into estrogen, as the aromatase enzyme (which works by converting male hormones into female hormones) can’t do shit on the molecule, it’s just too strong for it. As a matter of fact DHT actually acts as an aromatase blocker.
In short, DHT is the male hormone of the male hormones, you wouldn’t have not a single body hair in you if there wouldn’t be any DHT, you wouldn’t have a functioning penis without DHT, you can’t have sex without DHT, and you most certainly wouldn’t have any noticeable amounts of muscle mass without the hormone. Also your voice would be that of a woman.
…However, DHT has a really bad reputation because of the following claims:
a) DHT can speed up hair loss on top of the scalp if you’re genetically prone to that…
b) DHT is also wrongly accoused of enlarging the prostate gland (which is not true. Just read this, and this to understand why).
Basically the only negative side effect of DHT might be hair loss, but again, that’s only if you’re genetically prone to losing it (and heck, would you rather have a full head of hair and be an eunuch, than to be a bald bad-ass with virility and muscle mass of a 17 year old? I’d choose the latter).
So today, I have made you this list of natural ways to boost DHT (one of the most requested posts so far):
To understand what I mean by that, let’s just say that there’s more than 70 peer reviewed human studies that show how creatine improves power output in humans.
Aside from creatine being good for strength, it’s also a potent testosterone booster (study, study, study, study, study)…
…And a great DHT booster:
This study conducted in 2009 showed that after a 7 day loading phase of creatine, followed by a further 14 days of creatine maintenance supplementation – while testosterone levels in blood serum didn’t significantly fluctuate – the levels of more bio-active androgen, dihydrotestosterone, increased by 56% after the initial 7 days of creatine loading and remained 40% above the baseline after 14 days maintenance.
5. BORON
Boron is a trace mineral that originates from cosmic ray spallation. It has some very interesting effects on the endocrine system, and can ba used as a testosterone and DHT booster.
That’s because it’s scientifically proven that boron can lower estrogen levels, increase free testosterone levels, and increase free dihydrotestosterone levels.
This is probably all due to the fact that it decreases the amount of sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) in the blood, which is a protein that binds into testosterone and DHT, making them unavailable for the receptors.
Here’s some research:
a) This study conducted by Naghii et al. had 8 healthy male subjects who took 10 mg’s of boron in the morning with their breakfasts for 7 consecutive days.
After those seven days the men had increased their free testosterone levels by a staggering 28% and what’s more remarkable is that their estrogen levels dropped by 39%.
Serum DHT (dihydrotestosterone) levels also increased significantly while SHBG levels decreased significantly.
b) This study conducted by Miljkovic et al. examined the effects of boron supplementation on serum vitamin D levels, but on the side they also measured serum hormone levels from their subjects.
13 healthy male participants took 6 mg’s of boron in the morning in a form of calcium fructo-borate for 60 consecutive days. Serum hormones were measured on day 1 and on day 60.
After those 60 days had gone, the researchers saw that the boron supplementation had increased their subjects free testosterone levels by 29,5%.
So all-in-all, boron is a great little trace mineral to add into your daily supplementation. It’s also relatively unpopular which makes it really cheap.

</center>
Dietary fat and cholesterol are the main building blocks of testosterone. Thus, why it’s important to eat adequate amounts of fatty foods in order to have high DHT levels (as DHT is made from testosterone).
This is not any bro-science either, several studies have proved this (study, study, study).
But what kind of fats work the best?
Answer: Avocado oil, bacon, lard, coconut oil, olive oil, argan oil, palm oil, fish oil, butter, etc. Basically the natural and unprocessed oils and fats that are either saturated or monounsaturated and rich in omega-3 fatty acids.
Also you should avoid the following fats as they’re not testosterone friendly:Margarine, trans fats, soybean oil, corn oil, canola oil, cotton seed oil, sunflower seed oil, etc. Basically avoid all processed vegetable oils that are polyunsaturated and rich in omega-6 fatty acids.
<center style="color: rgb(19, 19, 19); font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 17px; line-height: 25.5px;">
7. EXERCISE
</center>
It’s a well researched fact that exercising increases testosterone levels, and that it also skyrockets DHT (study, study, study, study, study, study).
But we have to realize that not all exercise is created equal. In fact, some types of exercise are known for hammering testosterone production.
In a nutshell, here’s what you should focus on if you want to boost both, testosterone and DHT: Sprinting, interval training, strength training, big weights, low reps, proper rest, and short intense workouts using big muscles and multi-joint movements.
Here’s what you should avoid: Long duration cardio, jogging, high rep training, isolation workouts, endurance training, running marathons, etc.

5 Ways to Increase DHT Naturally (Without ProHormones,AAS etc)
Where all of the King's of Honour? Where are the Bold and Courageous? The Esteemed and Comfortable...? Our ancestor's and ancient's had it right! As Masculinity is being ever attacked in this pathetic modern society, some have turned to Anabolic Androgenic Steroids as a reversal even!?
Some go on TRT, some will supplement with prohormones to gain what is being lost or to supplement the levels to a desired state. However, it is possible that none of this is necessary.
You see, our bodies have a natural negative feedback and hormone regulation system, and though the research is thought to be confusing in regards to the most potent androgen (DHT), if you look closely, there are Natural Ways to work through the brain/body's chemistry/wiring to increase 5-alpha-reductase enzymes and inhibit other enzymes that my inhibit DHT.
The main way I've found that can significantly increase DHT levels (and indeed, others have reported this as well)... is CREATINE SUPPLEMENTATION.
Here's a report of someone who was on Propecia and suffered negative side-effects due to low DHT, and these effects were reversed upon continuous supplementation of Creatine.
Here's a study proving this as well.
In either case, there many other things that can help, these are just a few of the main ones.
Always remember, individuality is key.

So today, I have made you this list of natural ways to boost DHT (one of the most requested posts so far):
1. GET RID OF THAT FAT BELLY
Beign fat is like a death blow to your hormonal health.
It skyrockets your estrogen levels thanks to increased aromatase enzyme activity, increases cortisol due to oxidative stress, lowers testosterone…
…and the worst one, it neutralizes DHT.
Just take a look at this study:
So want to increase your DHT levels naturally? Start by not beign fat.
2. CREATINE
Creatine is probably the most respected and one of the few working bodybuilding supplements out there.Beign fat is like a death blow to your hormonal health.
It skyrockets your estrogen levels thanks to increased aromatase enzyme activity, increases cortisol due to oxidative stress, lowers testosterone…
…and the worst one, it neutralizes DHT.
Just take a look at this study:
A group of Canadian researchers at Laval University tried to figure out the reasons why fat men often have lower androgen levels in their serum when compared to lean individuals.
What they found out was that the enzymes located in adipose tissue (fat mass) literally neutralize DHT, breaking it down into a less potent byproduct, 5alpha-androstane 3alpha,17beta-diol.
In short, their conclusion was this: The more fat a man has hanging around, the more the active DHT in his body is neutralized.
So want to increase your DHT levels naturally? Start by not beign fat.
2. CREATINE
To understand what I mean by that, let’s just say that there’s more than 70 peer reviewed human studies that show how creatine improves power output in humans.

3. SORGHUM
Sorghum is a completely unkown grain here in Finland, and I actually have to order mine from U.S (which is weird as it’s the fifth most planted grain in the world).
What makes sorghum stand out from its relatives, is the fact that it significantly increases the enzyme 5-a reductase, and thus, boosts DHT levels.
This was seen in a study conducted by Sinnecker et al. They found out that sorghum increased 5-a enzyme expression by 54% in vitro…
…That’s great results from a single grain, and thus the reason why my only go-to grains at the moment are sorghum and oats
4. AVOID 5-ALPHA INHIBITORS
Just as there are several foods and supplements that can increase testosterone, estrogen, growth hormone, or pretty much any hormone or enzyme in the body, there’s also the ones that can work in a complete reverse manner.
Thus, why there’s also many foods and supplements that can block DHT by inhibiting the 5-a enzyme.
Some of these 5-a blockers are actually considered to be testosterone boosters (as testosterone increases when it can’t convert into DHT). But those are precisely the ones that I don’t recommend.
Here’s a list of the most common scientifically proven 5-a inhibitors for you to avoid:
Rice (source)
Fenugreek (source)
Saw palmetto (source)
Astaxanthin (source)
Safflower (source)
Finasteride (source)

Three weeks of creatine monohydrate supplementation affects dihydrotestosterone to testosterone ratio in college-aged rugby players. van der Merwe J1, Brooks NE, Myburgh KH.
Abstract
OBJECTIVE: This study investigated resting concentrations of selected androgens after 3 weeks of creatine supplementation in male rugby players. It was hypothesized that the ratio of dihydrotestosterone (DHT, a biologically more active androgen) to testosterone (T) would change with creatine supplementation.
DESIGN: Double-blind placebo-controlled crossover study with a 6-week washout period.
SETTING: Rugby Institute in South Africa.
PARTICIPANTS: College-aged rugby players (n = 20) volunteered for the study, which took place during the competitive season.
INTERVENTIONS: Subjects loaded with creatine (25 g/day creatine with 25 g/day glucose) or placebo (50 g/day glucose) for 7 days followed by 14 days of maintenance (5 g/day creatine with 25 g/day glucose or 30 g/day glucose placebo). MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Serum T and DHT were measured and ratio calculated at baseline and after 7 days and 21 days of creatine supplementation (or placebo). Body composition measurements were taken at each time point.
RESULTS: After 7 days of creatine loading, or a further 14 days of creatine maintenance dose, serum T levels did not change. However, levels of DHT increased by 56% after 7 days of creatine loading and remained 40% above baseline after 14 days maintenance (P < 0.001). The ratio of DHT:T also increased by 36% after 7 days creatine supplementation and remained elevated by 22% after the maintenance dose (P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONS: Creatine supplementation may, in part, act through an increased rate of conversion of T to DHT. Further investigation is warranted as a result of the high frequency of individuals using creatine supplementation and the long-term safety of alterations in circulating androgen composition. STATEMENT OF CLINICAL RELEVANCE: Although creatine is a widely used ergogenic aid, the mechanisms of action are incompletely understood, particularly in relation to dihydrotestosterone, and therefore the long-term clinical safety cannot be guaranteed.

The Second Method of NATURALLY Increasing DHT Levels
NOTE: Very Important, stop taking Green Tea EXTRACTS, Reishi Mushrooms and other Anti-Androgenic Herbs, DO NOT EAT SOY PEOPLE!!
The second method is Lifting Heavy Weights and Doing Squats!!!!!
Most people have found that when lifting heavy weights more often and working towards their physique goals, their self-image and confidence goes up. I believe it's not just a Psychological effect, but a Physiological one as well - one in that, no one who is wise to weight training will deny.
THIRD METHOD OF RAISING DHT NATURALLY
Exercise Discipline
Do not doubt yourself, hold your head up high, practice using music to amp up your nervous system for workouts and be the image you want to be. Don't blame anything on anyone else in life. Be your own example, actively work towards your goals, and do it with pride. Do it with discipline. Don't care too much about what other people think...
FOURTH METHOD OF RAISING DHT NATURALLY
Lower Cortisol Levels.
This means; reduce stress, take night time growth factor / relaxation supplements. Something likeGrowth Factor XT can work wonders for someone who is under stress, and it may also enhance growth hormone levels. Another good supplement to lower Cortisol is PES Erase Pro, this will also reduce estrogen levels and increase testosterone and DHT as a result.
The reason for all of this is because cortisol inhibits 5-alpha-reductase and testosterone production directly, and DHT inversely regulates cortisol and inhibits stress responses.

The hormonal effects of Tribulus terrestris and its role in the management of male erectile dysfunction--an evaluation using primates, rabbit and rat.
Gauthaman K1, Ganesan AP.
Hormonal effects of Tribulus terrestris (TT) were evaluated in primates, rabbit and rat to identify its usefulness in the management of erectile dysfunction (ED). TT extract was administered intravenously, as a bolus dose of 7.5, 15 and 30 mg/kg, in primates for acute study. Rabbits and normal rats were treated with 2.5, 5 and 10mg/kg of TT extract orally for 8 weeks, for chronic study. In addition, castrated rats were treated either with testosterone cypionate (10mg/kg, subcutaneously; biweekly for 8 weeks) or TT orally (5mg/kg daily for 8 weeks). Blood samples were analyzed for testosterone (T), dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and dehydroepiandrosterone sulphate (DHEAS) levels using radioimmunoassay. In primates, the increases in T (52%), DHT (31%) and DHEAS (29%) at 7.5mg/kg were statistically significant. In rabbits, both T and DHT were increased compared to control, however, only the increases in DHT (by 30% and 32% at 5 and 10mg/kg) were statistically significant. In castrated rats, increases in T levels by 51% and 25% were observed with T and TT extract respectively that were statistically significant. TT increases some of the sex hormones, possibly due to the presence of protodioscin in the extract. TT may be useful in mild to moderate cases of ED.
