L-Glutamine?

Ive got a supplement question. Already taking daily vitamins, protein and creatine. Just ordered Omega3 fish oil (Doc says it will help reduce the elbow pain) I use Jack3d for pre workout (love this stuff) and have been reading about L-Glutamine. Should I add this to the daily compilation of stuff I put in my body? Does anyone think it really helps? Oh another question, Is there something that I should be taking that im not? I think Ive finally got the bulking part down, now to transforming stage. I need more strength.
 
L-Glutamine helps in muscle recovery but a lot of the stuff you supplement with may have enough in there that you don't need to add additional L-Glutamine to what you have.. I would look and see what all your stuff has and total it up. Ive seen it recommended anywhere from 2-15 grams daily, I only take about 5g daily and that is sufficient enough for me. I would add it into your supplements if you already aren't getting it.. Just toss it into a protein shake for post workout.
 
i think glutamine is a very important tool post workout to keep me form being too sore
 
Glutamine along with BCAA's have been shown to blunt cortisol post workout. That alone would be a excellent reason to take it. I dont have the study off hand, but 2g Glutamine PWO does the trick.
 
I use l-glutamine post workout and just put it in my shake. Ive always used glutamine and will continue to. Go for it bro, its cheap and definitely worth it.

Extremly important amino acid in the body. I dont think I missed taking at least 5 gm a day. Synthetek have a super quality l-glutamine

So would you suggest taking the glutamine and BCAAs immediately post workout, or like at bedtime a few hours after workout?

Can't really go wrong with dosing as long as your taking it.

I use the Synthetek's Glutamine and their dosing recommendation is:

-5g, once a day on non-training days
-5g, twice a day on training days. I assume the second dose is pwo as suggested already.
 
its good to take with bcaa's. glutamine really becomes more important when your dieting too.

I take them post workout, first thing in the morning with my vitamins, and before bed.
