LANTUS SOLOSTAR (INSULIN) – (100IU/ML, 3ML) PEN – SANOFI ( WITH PEN NEEDLES)
Lantus Solostar belongs to the group of antidiabetic drugs, insulin and injectable analogues, long acting. The drug is prepared as a clear, colorless solution for injection, containing insulin glargin as an ingredient. Insulin glargin is a modified insulin, similar to human insulin, produced by a biotechnological process. This ingredient has long-lasting and sustained hypoglycemia.
The drug is injected under the skin, not intravenously because it will change the effect of the drug, possibly causing hypoglycemia.
Lantus® can be administered any time of day
Use Lantus® once a day at the same time every day
Rotate injection sites from one injection to the next to reduce the risk of lipodystrophy and localized cutaneous amyloidosis. Do not inject into affected areas.
