Maca is a plant mostly found in South America that has long been associated with sexual health. Due to this association, many bodybuilders hypothesized that it might have an interaction with testosterone.
-
Unfortunately, this hypothesis has not panned out in research. Maca has been shown to have zero effects on testosterone in a variety of populations.
-
However, maca HAS been shown to improve sexual health and desire, so if you're after a "different" kind of gains, maca might help!

Based on: Crespo, A. O. O., Cedillo, A. X. O., Cedillo, P. O. O., & Lopez, M. E. S. (2016). Systematic Review On The Use Of Maca (Lepidium Meyenii) In Sexual Dysfunction.
