Here is a receipe I use all the time. I pretty much need to cook one day out of the week to feed for 2 or three days..this one is simple and you can put it in the oven before you go to the gym and eat it when you return. You can add basically whatever you want to it depending on personal taste.
5 pounds ground beef ( i use sirloin which is about 7% fat...you can use whatever % you want tho depending on your needs.)
2 green peppers finely chopped
1 red pepper finely chopped
1 yellow onion finely chopped
5 eggs
3 cups quick oats
any seasonings you want...i just use salt and pepper
Smoosh all this together with your hands in a big bowl until it is uniform. You need to use your hands because this is ALOT of stuff and you cant stir it with a spoon. Press it all into a half sheet (more commonly called a jelly roll pan) and bake it for about an hour or so in the oven at 350. The top should be brown. If you want to add tomatoes (a can of stewed is best) you will need to cook it for a bit longer due to the water content. This can feed me for 2 days and is a pretty complete meal due to the carbs in the oatmeal. If you want to do 10 pounds or whatever, just make sure you add one egg for each pound of meat. If you dont, it wont hold together. This is a pretty forgiving recipe...I like bland food....so if you dont, add salsa or spices or whatever you want to it. The outcome is the same.
