<!-- react-text: 61 -->There is a trend now with preworkout supplements incorporating nootropics in the formula, along with your normal stimulants. I really like this direction and the combination of nootropics and stimulants works very well, IMO. Noopept is a synthetic molecule very usually classified as a racetam derivative. It's most commonly used as a nootropic, a molecule that is a cognitive enhancer. It's said to be 1000-fold more potent than piracetam, a common nootropic, with doses ranging from 10-30mg. Noopept converts to its main metabolite cyclopyrolylglycine, which is largely responsible for its cognitive, as well as anti-anxiety effects. Without getting too deep into science, noopept can alter the electric potential of your neural membrane, which is the mechanism of its psychostimulatory effects and neural excitation. It also inhibits the breakdown of glutamate, an important neurotransmitter for cognitive function. There are also a few studies showing it can protect neurons in the brain from damage. It can be taken in small doses throughout the day, given its half life is about an hour. It works very well when stacked with a choline source, such as CDP-choline or alpha GPC.
Noopept is found in a few products such as Dust V2 from <!-- /react-text -->@blackstonelabs<!-- react-text: 63 -->. It's a nice addition to a preworkout to round out the overall neural excitation given by the combo of nootropics and stims. <!-- /react-text -->
