[h=3]Anyone has the capacity to injure themselves through physical activity. Dependent on fitness level and mental state, those who participate in sports as a hobby, body building, dance or those who work in industries requiring physical labour will be more inclined to experience injury., therefore benefit from Peptide Supplementation.[/h][h=3]Muscle Strains, Tendon Sprains[/h]Our bodies are sophisticated, working as a network to support all interacting components of the body. The tissues in the body consist of cells held together by connective tissue which is infiltrated with capillaries and nerves. The cells are specialised to perform certain functions, depending upon the tissue i.e. muscle cells shorten their length mechanically. The connective tissue consists of a gel and protein strands that ‘glue’ the cells together. The capillaries provide nutrients to the cells and remove their waste products.
A muscle contains many muscle cells, surrounded and held together by its connective tissue. The connective tissue is continuous with the tendons at each end of the muscle and this connects the muscle cells to the bones. In this way, contraction and shortening of the muscle cells results in movements of the bones around their joint.
A single excessively high force, or multiple lower intensity forces can damage the connective tissue of a muscle. This is called a strain in a muscle or a sprain of a tendon.
Repetitive sprains can trigger an inflammatory process around the damaged tissue called tenosynovitis in tendons. As the connective tissue has a much less dense blood supply than the muscle cells, the connective tissue has a much slower repair rate. For those requiring quick recovery and repair, peptide supplementation can be a worthwhile option.
[h=3]Injury Repair Peptides[/h]Peptides used in injury repair send a message to the body to increase the rate of tissue repair. Growth hormone (from the anterior pituitary gland under the brain) is particularly good at stimulating connective tissue production.
Thymosin beta 4 (from the thymus gland in the chest) increases the formation of new muscle cells from the inactive stem cells, and stimulates the growth of new blood vessels.

[h=2]What is Thymosin Beta 4?[/h]Thymosin Beta 4 was first found in the thymus gland. Thymosin is typically found in both skeletal and smooth muscle. Thymosin Beta 4 is upregulated when the body experiences tissue damage. When a trauma injury occurs, the body releases Thymosin Beta 4 to heal from the trauma. Thymosin prevents adhesions from occurring, minimising scar tissue.

[h=2]Mechanism of Action for Thymosin Beta 4[/h]

Thymosin Beta 4 is a hormone secreted from the thymus, in which the primary function is to stimulate the production of T-cells. T cells are a very important part of the immune system.

Thymosin also contributes to the development of B cells into plasma cells to produce antibodies.
Thymosin Beta four is a first-in-class naturally occurring peptide present in virtually all human & animal cells. The beta-thymosins are a family of proteins. 16 known versions are in this class of compounds. Thymosin Beta 4, otherwise known as TB-4 is naturally found in human blood platelets. It is also found in white blood cells, in the thymus gland as well as the spleen. It is believed to play a large role in cell survival, as well as in the repair and regeneration of damaged tissue.
T4 is an actin-regulating peptide. Actin is a vital component of cell structure & movement of the body. Actin is up to 10% of the total proteins present in the cells, making it a major player in the genetic infrastructure of a cell. T4 plays an important function in the body whereby it protects & restores damaged tissue.
TB-500 has been shown to produce proteins & growth factors that promote rapid wound healing, increased muscle growth, with large increases in endurance & strength as well as potent anti-aging & anti-scarring properties.
TB-4 has shown great promise healing patients with pressure and venous ulcers. It has also displayed healing properties for patients with corneal wounds and heart attacks.
