OK so not sure if this will work or if it's a terrible idea, but

I got some weights and this rack super cheap (mostly weights for my wife)
I just pressure washed them, sprayed a rust inhibitor paint on everything,
I am now spraying the weights with plasti dip bc I figured it may be like a decent rubberized type of sealant around it.
I had like 5 cans already sitting in my garage for about 3 years, not done yet.

The rack I am going to spray with a beige/brown satin rustoleum paint (minus the rubber feet on the bottom)
so it has a lot of flashing spots with the rust inhibitor black, but it doesnt matter really.

Anyone do this before?

I am going to lay the plasti dip on thick

It should work it's a good idea not having worry about rust

matter of fact I might do it to my weights too

Yeah I am keeping the weights in my great room, so I don't want rust getting on the carpet

U did use rust inhibitor primar first? right?
Their is a metal treatment inhibitor that also converts rust. It puts it through chemical reaction and stops completely and is good inhibitor.
Really good for areas that can't be buffed.
I did mine years ago but they chipped again so it's time.
I wire wheel buff mine first then treat then prim and paint but I live in Louisiana wet and muggy alot. Garage cement gets wet in winter from humidity before a cold front.
