True story. For about 5-6 years of my life I worked 70+ hours a week, training 40-50hrs of clients, managing a million+ in training revenue a year and 15-20 trainers. A true stim junkie, easily consuming over a gram of caffeine daily (not to mention whatever other stims happened to be jammed in my preworkouts). I’m pretty positive during that time I took 5 years off my life, 10 years off my adrenals life and kept myself from 20lbs of muscle I could have put on.

Thank God, sometime around 2010/11 I took my first @strengthsensei1 course (first biosignature, then bioprint, now Metabolic Analysis I think?). A course I’ve taken 3 time in total. Since the course, I gave my adrenals a break. And slowly started to better grasp what actually could improve training performance and recovery. Now, I only take stimulants once per day (pre-training), and instead of looking for a preworkout that provides the feeling of attaching jumper cables to my nutsack, I started to focus on things that would boost dopamine and acetylcholine, which in turn would help my drive, focus and metal clarity coming into sessions. And learned if my CNS was constantly jacked up, recovery was near impossible. All things you tend to value and appreciate much more the longer you’ve been training.

I’ve said many times before, I don’t have much passion for nutrition and supplementation, I just want to learn what I need to produce results. I get asked often where the best places to learn are, and I can honestly say, the majority of what I apply today regarding nutrition and supps, that I’ve actually seen produce results, I learned from Poliquin and for trainers I can’t recommend his course work highly enough.

In the video I just posted a couple days ago on Hypertrophycoach.com I give about a 15 min crash course on what I learned when it comes to concocting a good pre workout. And some of the ingredients I’ve been taking for 7-8 years now consistently. (Many in @redcon1 products, and a few raws I add in myself). Don’t fauk your adrenals like I did. Your workout performance will suffer, your recovery will be nonexistent and you’ll hinder your results. If you’re this trainer don’t miss this vid
