prednisone made me feel like a million bucks

So I have had this stuffy ear problem with no signs of infection for almost a month. I went to the Dr and he gave me some prednisone to knock it down. Well not only did out work but I felt amazing. Seriously I haven't felt this good in ages. Well I'm out now and back to feeling human again. Thing is I've got a powerlifting meet in 4 weeks and I'd really like to get my hands on some more. But that's another issue.

Has anyone experienced this with thirds drug before? Why does it do this. I read up on it and there's nothing that would suggest to me that I should feel so good on it. Is there anything more "available" that might give me the same effects? Oh and PS, it fixed this knee pain I had been dealing with for months as well.

It's a super powerful anti inflamatory. That's why it makes everything feel better. Short term is fine long term is bad.

That was used by cyclists in there dopping cocktails. Cortisone derivatives boost your moods.

I had the same feeling... Like a mild euphoria... I've had several ear problems over the years and prednisone is the only thing that works for me. But the key is short term use. 10 days or less or you're in for a heap of trouble

What happens?

I'm pretty sure it effected my mood. It was easier during training to go from super happy(caused by it) to kill mode. I think it did effect my ability to think and made it easy for me to be confused. But I'm ADD as hell anyways so I think it just exacerbated it.
