Schisandra is a fruit used in traditional Chinese medicine. Schisandra is thought to have adaptogenic qualities in which it supposedly better helps the body cope with and adapt to stress. This hasn’t been overly replicated in research, however, a few studies do show that chronically stressed individuals may benefit from Schisandra supplementation. On the other hand, the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of Schisandra render it rather pointless for the bodybuilder.

There's also an Indian herb, Ashwagandha, that is also known to give some stress relief along with improving the quality of sleep.
 
I've been using Ashwagandha for the last two weeks to try it out after hearing about what it can do. I have to say, I've slept much better with it.
