Thought you guys might find this interesting, this is Shelby Starnes offseason diet...

My Offseason Diet

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A lot of guys have been asking me about my offseason diet this year, so here it is.. nothing too fancy really.

meal 1:
fiber cereal, a bit of fruit, and "milk" made with whey, casein, almond butter, and macadamia nut oil

meal 2:
whole eggs, a bit of oatmeal

meal 3:
beef, shrimp, a bit of brown rice, and some raw nuts

meal 4:
same as meal 1

meal 5:
beef, shrimp, a bit of brown rice, extra virgin olive oil

meal 6:
either whole eggs and a bit of raw milk cheese, or salmon, or swordfish

night-time shake:
whey, casein, mac. nut oil

on training days I replace meal 4 with a preworkout shake (waxy maize, whey, mac. nut oil) and post workout I have waxy maize and whey.

supplements:
fish oil, evening primrose oil, vit. D3, vit.C, multi, glucosamine, ALA, milk thistle, livercare, coral calcium, melatonin

Chris does anyone know how much of each he eats...? for instance beef, shrimp, brown rice & raw nuts....can be pretty vague w/o knowing how much he is actually eating...?

Man is everyone incorporating macadamia nut oil now? I know Palumbo is avid about this stuff but I keep on seeing this more and more.

Its a good fat bro good staple to keep in your diet. I use olive oil and nuts never bought mac nut oil before yet.

I've been kinda using some good fats in my diet...but sometimes when I do, I feel like with the extra carb intake...Its makes me more bloated...but it could be in my head...Here's what I have been doing so far this year...

Meal 1 - 2 packets of cream of wheat
2 cartons of apple sauce (mixed in the cream of wheat, dont knock it until you try it)
2 scp. of 100% Whey by optimum nutrition

Meal 2 - 1 serving of mass gainer (some times will add 1-2 tbsp olive oil to my shakes for extra cals)

Meal 3 - 6-7oz. of Grilled chicken breast
1 packet of Uncle Ben's white rice (mixed together) or

go to wendys and order 1-2 grilled chicken sandwiches and 1-2 bake potatoes...

Meal 4 - 1 serving mass gainer

Meal 5 - 6-7oz. Grilled Chicken breast
1 packet of Uncle Ben's white rice or mashed sweet potatoes (10-12oz.)

Meal 6 - 1/2 to 1 cup cottage cheese

thats about what I have been eating everyday for now...ofcourse some days are different, different situation, ect., ect...but overall I try to eat like this all the time...as you can see im not really that big of a eater...at night I might get up and eat a bowl of kids cereal with some protein powder on it...(LOL)....

Yeah, Im on the up an up on olive oil. Its been a staple since I was born.LOL!!(grew up in an Italian fam) I heard they( macs) were good in omega's? Thats a good alt to straight fish, huh.

Chris, does that Wendy's make you feel weighted down at all. Even if I cheat with MAC D's I feel so friggin heavy and lazy.

Chris,
White instead of brown rice? Are you trying to limit fiber intake?

No, my thinking is whatever I can get away with in the offseason (junk foods, ect) then when I diet down, I can switch over to brown rice, and make that much more of a difference on my dieting...(and getting leaner faster)

no not really, im use to the food now...its just wendys grilled chicken, so its not all that bad...for fast food anyway:)

I've never really tried the the food , mostly cause there's no Wendy's around. I will give it a shot though. You have an awesome diet Chris.

well I just try to keep the diet simple and easy...My main goals are to get in around 300 grams of protein and 500 grams of carbs per day
