i know it bad for you and all that, but unfortunately i smoke. i would like to quit although i enjoy it. anyway what i would like to know is how much it is hurting my gains. maybe that will be motivation enough to quit because i know it doesn't hurt my workout from what i can tell.
 
well smoking kills the taste of food and appetite just think how much weight people put on when they quit. So quit and do a bulking cycle and you should hit 30 lbs.
 
smoking sucks and its a bitch to quit took me about three tries before I got it man I feel so much healthier you don't realize how much it affects you till you quit one thing I now for a fact it affects is your energy level you will have tons more endurance great for those heavy lifting days also just think about what you are sucking into your body like pure poison you may not think so but it is affecting your health my grandmother just passed away from lung cancer it was an awful thing to watch her cough and cough and cough she was miserable if nothing else do it for your health
 
hey, thanks for all the input. i've tried to quit a couple of times using the patch, zyban but as soon as i was finished i was right back at it. i think cold turkey will be the only way to go. how did you guys do it. any helpful advise

That was quite a sentance though, lol.

I smoked about 3 cigs a day for two years. I just quit recently, but I'm sure that's going to be of no help to you.

My roomate smokes about 1.25 packs a day. Last summer he went cold turkey and made it about 3 months. Just recently he got on the nic. gum. It seemed like he smoked more when he was chewing that damn gum, lol.

For my 'mate, he had much better luck with the cold turkey, though he's still smoking. But if you can last three month, why not 4ever?

well i never left the gym to have a smoke. i guess thats good. i guess if i can get through a week i should be ok. i'm going out to visit a friend in cali for the next week and can't smoke in many of the places there so what better time to try, right
 
Just do it cold turkey. I quit last July and have not gone back since. I was 4 days into a bulker when I quit and I went from 194 to 242 at 10%bf. It was hard the first few days but got easier and easier. Believe me if I could quit I think anyone can good luck!!!
 
I didn't ween myself off, I didn't crave them as bad if I didn't have that first smoke of the day. Its probably just a mental thing. Cold turkey was the only way I tried it, so I can't say much about all the stuff they got out to help you quit. Personally I think it is a waste of money. damn I didn't realize you mofos where going to check my grammar hows my spelling???????????????????????????? ha ha
 
thanks people, all the motivation is definitly a fgreat help. just have to kick my ass in gear and do it. as i have said i leave for cali on friday so i might as well try to quit there. i will keep you all posted.
