Testosterone Cypionate

Testosterone-Cypionate is one of the most popular testosterone forms on the market; in-fact, it's one of the most popular anabolic steroids period. Very similar to Testosterone-Enanthate, actually they're virtually identical; while Testosterone-Enanthate is perhaps more popular among performance enhancers simply due to availability, Testosterone-Cypionate is the most commonly prescribed testosterone in the United States. The vast majority of men who suffer from low testosterone and are prescribed injectable testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) are commonly prescribed Testosterone-Cypionate. In any case, for TRT or performance needs, you cannot go wrong with this giant of the testosterone family.

Testosterone-Cypionate & TRT:

Millions upon millions of men in the U.S. alone suffer from the condition of low testosterone, and, unfortunately, millions of them are completely unaware. Often the symptoms are simply attributed to part of age or the stresses of life, and in part, this is true, but they are symptoms no man has to live with. Common symptoms of low testosterone include:

• Loss of Libido
• Erectile Dysfunction
• Loss of Muscle Mass
• Loss of Strength
• Increased Body-Fat
• Depression
• Loss of Memory
• Loss of Mental Focus
• Loss of Energy
• Weakened Immune System
• Insomnia

If you suffer from any of these symptoms, and generally if you suffer from only two you more than likely suffer from low testosterone; the good news is Testosterone-Cypionate can be the answer. When you suffer from low testosterone you are lacking the primary androgen your body essentially needs; in-fact, testosterone is one of the most important hormones we produce. By supplementing with Testosterone-Cypionate, a pure testosterone form, you will provide your body with the hormone it needs and see each symptom reverse. It is true; Testosterone-Cypionate is a synthetic testosterone as are all exogenous testosterone forms, but once inside the body the body makes no distinguishing difference between naturally produced testosterone and testosterone provided exogenously.

Testosterone-Cypionate & Performance:

For the performance enhancer, there is no anabolic steroid as important or as beneficial as testosterone, and as Testosterone-Cypionate is just that, pure testosterone it's always an excellent choice. For the performance enhancer, Testosterone-Cypionate can do just about everything you could want as it is one of the most versatile hormones we have at our disposal. Perfect for bulking cycles, and equally perfect for cutting plans there are very few anabolic steroids as beneficial. Through supplemental use in a performance based plan, the following benefits can be obtained:

• Increased Muscle Mass
• Increased Strength
• Increased Rate of Recovery
• Increased Stamina
• Increased Energy
• Decreased Body-Fat
• Enhanced Physique (when body-fat is low)
• Enhanced Tissue Preservation (when calories are restricted)

When you look at that list, that's the bread and better of performance enhancement, and it is these traits that make the hormone so wildly desired. Of course, to better understand these traits, we must understand what causes them to exist. By its nature, Testosterone-Cypionate provides the following, thereby providing the traits listed above:

Increased Nitrogen Retention in the Muscles
Increased Rate of Protein Synthesis
Increased Red Blood Cell Count
Increased IGF-1 Production
Decreased Glucocorticoid Production

The Downside of Testosterone-Cypionate:

As are with all things in life, there are possible downsides to Testosterone-Cypionate use. Fortunately we're talking about a hormone your body is very well accustomed to, it's not a foreign substance, but any time you provide your body with anything exogenously there are possible risk. Read that last sentence again and grab hold of the key word "possible." Possible means just that, and by no means implies guaranteed. For the TRT patient supplementing with Testosterone-Cypionate, the possibility of adverse side-effects is very low, as he will only be replacing what he is now lacking. However, for the performance enhancer, he will be exceeding what he can naturally produce, and this is where possible problems may occur. In any case, this is one of the most well-tolerated hormones on planet earth among healthy adult men, and TRT or performance based most men will be able to supplement with great success.

By-and-large, the side-effects of Testosterone-Cypionate as is with all testosterone forms surrounds the issue of aromatase. When testosterone is present, via the aromatase enzyme it will convert into estrogen, and as the estrogen builds up problems may occur. The higher your dose is the greater the risk, as the more testosterone you have in your body the more there is to aromatize, and the body will not be able to process a certain amount of testosterone and the remainder will aromatize. Due to this effect, the possible side-effects of Testosterone-Cypionate include:

Gynecomastia
Excess Water Retention
High Blood Pressure
High Cholesterol

To combat these issues, the first line of defense is supplementing with a responsible amount of testosterone. Beyond dosing, supplementing with an Aromatase Inhibitor (AI) such as Arimidex or Letrozole can be your saving grace. AI's do exactly what their name implies; they inhibit the aromatase process, and just as importantly actively reduce the amount of estrogen in your body. If you do not have a buildup of estrogen, you cannot have side-effects that occur of an estrogenic nature.

Beyond the above possible effects, there are two effects that are guaranteed, testosterone suppression and testicular atrophy. For the TRT user, testosterone suppression is meaningless, if you need TRT you're not producing enough testosterone in the first place. At any rate, when we supplement with exogenous testosterone our natural testosterone production is suppressed, and this is a concern for the performance user. However, with a proper post cycle plan the performance user will stimulate natural testosterone production and all will be as it once was. No, a post cycle plan won't bring levels all the way back to normal, but it will get you on track and normal levels will return.

Then we have testicular atrophy, and this is due to the testosterone suppression. Testosterone is manufactured in the testicles, and when it is suppressed the testicles simply shrink. However, once use is discontinued, and natural testosterone production begins again your testicles will return to their normal size. For the TRT patient, more than likely you'll never be discontinuing use, but do not fret, when we speak of testicular atrophy we're referring to a slight reduction in fullness. Further, ask yourself this one important question, would you rather suffer from low testosterone or would you rather supplement with Testosterone-Cypionate and thrive? Hopefully this is not a question we need to answer.
