The carbs timing question

The Survivor

One thing I'm a bit confused about is timing of marcos... now for cutting, I realize carbs early in day are good, and cutting carbs closer to bed time advisable, but what if for some reason you under eat until say mid day, and you have already trained, is it OK then to add carbs and maybe some good fats from the point on with the logic of being in caloric deficit?

Or just suck it up and bring down the carbs/good fats despite being behind for the day??

When leaning, I try to get all of my bad carbs in early, and then taper off. Then after i workout in the evening, I try to only take in good carbs to replenish and load for the next day. Now, with that being said, that's what works for me and cuts me up pretty good. Either way, I still try to keep all of my carbs under 100 per day, good or bad. Some days I'll get a total of 25g of carbs, some days I'll get 125g of carbs. But overall, that's what works best for me.

When you say good carbs at PM, you mean low GI ones correct? I almost always try and get my 630pm meal with some good carbs like veggies or Ezekiel bread, not sure eating even low GI carbs 3 hrs prior to bed time is good but I always thought carbs & protein assimilate well togther

yes, that is exactly what I mean. See, my issue is, I train after work, usually 1800-1900 before I get to the gym. So by time I train, do cardio, and get home, it's 2100. Then I still have to eat, shower, get my supplements administered, etc. I usually get in bed by midnight after everything is said and done. Then back up at 0600 again to start the madness all over again. So for me to cut carbs 3 hours or more before bed, is pretty much impossible.

Thats one long MF day Bro, so by the time you settle in for the night, you really dont have much wiggle room for much of anything. My job dictates I go to bed at 10, up at 430, so I'm lucky to get 6.5 hrs of sleep

Thanks for yr input, anyone else have carb issue at night??

Would anyone want to voice opinion about using sprouted bread such as ezekiel with lean beef as 6pm supper meal? Been using this lately and not sure if I should drop the ezekiel bread and just eat 94% lean beef patty by itself

I am type 2 diabetic so I have to keep a close eye on my carbs all the time. I try not to eat any carbs after 6pm. If I can do this my BS stays within limits. I also take MC IGF-Lr3 which helps me to keep my levels where they need to be. I am bulking right now and it has been a challenge to get in enough carbs. But you have to just do the best you can and eat as many clean carbs as possible.

Yes to clean carbs, I think the sprouted bread is that, low on GI plus I take a brief walk post supper to burn off even the good carbs

I have tried E bread and it's not bad. I just have whole wheat when I do eat bread which isn't that often.

Last time I went to store, they were out of ekeziel so I bought rudy's (or Rudi's) which is similiar, it was good and bit cheaper
