damn this is fuckin scary in 12 weeks i have my first competition!!. (june 21) and have been wanting to do this for a long time. i am cutting like a maniac rite now i am doing cardio 2wice a day 4days a week. I am scared that what if i dont make it, then what will happen. also my leg has has been in pain some shit happened now that is another problem.

i know a lot people stress some time b4 their comps. i really need all your guys' support to get through this time.

You're doing great, bro, but i would drop one session of cardio right now, you don't want to burn out too soon. Depending on your bodyfat right now (in some of your other posts it sounds like you're not too fat to begin with), try to time it out over the next 12 weeks. It will be PLENTY of time, believe me! I often fall into the trap myself of leaning out too early. At 4 or 5 weeks out, add another session of cardio, but not daily, maybe 3 times per week. The last couple weeks go daily with two sessions. Thats what I'm at right now, and I'm 3 1/2 weeks out, cutting right on time! You'll be fine, bro, we'll be helping you out.

I'm serious dammit, you can always add size to your biceps or more sweep to your quads......but short of pulling a Kevin Levrone and stuffing your shit, a small pee-pee is what you have, period

Man BigShug I don't want to hear any more about how small that damn thing is! Put it away and leave it alone

Mad,

I have never cut before, nor competed in a bodybuilding competition, so I can't offer you any good advice - I'm sure you'll get that from others.

But, I do think it is great that you are competing and give you full props for it. keep up your hard work and enjoy the limelight on the stage.

If this is like other competitions I have been in, in other arenas, you'll be shitting your pants right up until you are actually doing your thing. But once you get going, it's likely to be a great rush and you'll probably enjoy it!

Anyway, good luck again... and be sure to post some on stage photos!

real easy bro.. and it will help alot... sounds weriod.. but do your poses in front of your family, friends, neibors..anyone that will watch that you know... if you can do it in front of people like that you can do it in front of anyone... it helped me alot.. and ask them what they thought..

You've been working on this very hard for a long time. I know you have the desire, and that will get you through. Best of luck to you Mad... now go knock 'em dead.

Seriously though, I'm with you. I thought I may have been ready for a comp at the end of this year, but I've decided to wait until the end of 2004 so I can put on more size......my take on the whole situation? Listen to all of the advice given on the board and leverage that to your advantage. Make sure to let us know in advance where the show's gonna be so some of us can cheer for you out in the crowd. That's my biggest fear....I'd worry that I'd hear the freakin' crickets chirping at the end of my routine.
