We all know that one of the issues of eating out is the ridiculous amount of sodium in most restaurant foods. I typically eat out twice a week so the majority of the foods I eat are bought at the grocery store. I buy low sodium tuna packets (140 mg) and low-ish sodium tuna cans (180 mg/serving) because they are 7 oz and quite a bit cheaper at Costco. Even still, I have trouble keeping my daily sodium intake below 3200 mg, especially while on a bulking diet. I have heard that for athletes a little more sodium can be a good thing, as much of it is lost in sweat but I also know that too much sodium can raise bp, which would be especially troublesome on cycle. So I would like some input: what does your daily sodium intake look like? Do you work harder to reduce sodium on cycle? Any other thoughts/suggestions on the subject are welcome.
