Total imbalance

Sup guys

Okay so I noticed my one lat looked bit smaller than the other quite a while back, but now I am I am freaking out because when I gym my whole body feels imbalanced ..Like doesnt matter what exercises I do my one side feels dominant..

I have been weightlifting almost 4 years in total.stopped for a year last year .I was on juice, cold turkey'd,this is the link to that incident (http://www.musclechemistry.com/uplo...-pct-like-dumb-fuck-i-am-help.html#post755479)

anyways like guys when i do standing cable flyes I can litterally see my one shoulder is higher than the other..When doing incline dbl presses I can see my one lat wider than the other one..When I flex my back ,I can litterally feel one side feeling different than the other.

I work a job where I basically sit infront of the computer all day..I assume this is main reason for imbalance in first place?

Please help

IDK maybe try lowering the weight and make sure that each side is staying the same throughout the motion, kinda retrain yourself. More mental than physical

I'm in the same boat bro. Separated my shoulder in football back in the 80's and really didn't get into BB until the 90's. I worked the weaker side
a bit more, like extra sets during my workouts or even off days just did some concentrated movements for focus. that seemed to help.
Everyone has a dominate side.
I have to agree with jimbo, that it may be more mental than physical. At this point for me it is. once i remember that, I can overcome the thoughts quickly
and get back on track. I have balanced out in time. Keep at it! You will get there!

another thought, how are you warming up before your workout? I have head a lot of info on low weight high reps before getting busy!

Stick to free weights

Agreed. Specifically dumbbells. Also, do as much of your workout as you can on your feet. Such as dumbbell military press standing, not seated, just for example. This will force you to engage your core.

Nobody is perfectly symmetrical. Like somebody else said above, focus on proper form and develop the "mind muscle connection", concentrating on your weaker side.

All of the things mentioned in this thread should help.

I am speaking from experience, btw: I had a major shoulder injury, a "fracture dislocation" which included nerve damage that caused my left shoulder to melt away to literally nothing. I could actually see the bones in my shoulder under my skin. It took several years, but my shoulders are pretty well equal these days. I can still see some differences, but nobody else does.
