I am on trt been on it for 4 years. My company just changed insurance. My other insurance covered visit with copay of $40.

It covered testosterone cypionate 200 mg per ml -10 ml vial every 60 days for $30 copay

On labs I did them 2 times a year. I had to pay $500 deductible once a year on them.

Our new insurance is Humana.
Anybody have experience with Humana and trt. I am stressed out about it. I did labs for trt Tuesday hope it covers more or at least the same. Dr visit is 17th. I went to my other Dr yesterday that I pay cash and my adderall was filled no problem for $15 copay but my buprenorphine said I needed pre-authorization from Dr. I just left Dr office had to come sign a release for Dr office to speak to insurance.

Please let me know yall experience because I am stressing. I haven't created ID into Web site yet to check on coverage that way I will try tonight.
Please inform me of what yall know.
Thanks!

Also wanted to say that my criteria for trt was a total testosterone of like 146 or 156 don't remember. I tried my hardest to restart I hadn't cycled in about 5 months and had did full protocall and tested on own at 3 months and did another round of clomid because at 3 months I was in same area around 140 total testosterone.
So what I am saying is I met criteria for trt without a doubt Dr had no problem at all giving it to me. He insisted to the point I was able to even play like I needed to think about it that there was no way I can give myself a shot! Lol!
I even said can't u give me pills. Lol!
He said your wife will give it to u, that he doesn't like creams shots are best. He said u have to take it let me give u shot today and script talk to wife and call me back. Lol! That was my route and had wife call and say we good. She is one who set up appointment and gave all info I just went in and said I felt like shit no energy, no sex drive or hardons, and tendons and joints hurt. Dr said and still says I looked like I was weighed down and wore out looking. I acted like wife wanted me here and I don't think she knows what she is talking about. Lol! This is what I did because I didn't want questions about low testosterone and muscle a good build and in shape. I told Dr I took prohormones desperate to seek relief and admitted I used to be a drug addict in my 20's so I didn't act innocent just that I wasn't a gear head! Lol

Thanks. Our company switched insurance completely and we only had 10 days to enroll or look elsewhere. New stuff came into affect as of Jan 1.

I'm with an insurance company called Select Health. They cover doc visits at $25 copay, $40 for a specialist. My doc has me on 400mg/week so 1 vial lasts 5 weeks. Normally I got 1 vial for $10, with rates increased for the next year will now be $15. All labs are covered 100% if they are regular preventive tests. Specialty tests cost a percentage (like a dna gene test).

Most insurances don't cover testosterone shots at all, but if they receive a letter from the doc or authorization saying it's medically necessary, then they will usually cover it. You'll have to look it up to see what they cover, but I haven't heard that many good things about Humana. Hopefully they work out for you.

My other insurance the one thru company before they switched, first past 4 years they covered my testosterone then I had to have dr send a letter then they sent one back stated that my condition was valid and they covered it at pharm. Anyways I hope that more is covered on labs than the $500 deductible I I had with old policy.
My tests Tuesday ordered was:
CBC with differential/pl
COMP. Metabolic panal (14
PSA, Serum (SERIAL MONITO
Testosterone, Free and TOT

And I ask have diagnosis codes.
So these are test for this 6 months next 6 months are close to same but non fasting.
Cholesterol he is only checking once a year because they have been too good. I will have other lab orders on 17th after appointment.

On the 400 a week how your testosterone #'S coming back?
I only taking 100 mg as I told dr, but that's usually for 4 weeks before labs. # been coming back good at around 1000 will see this time. He basically has told me if I up it a little and lab value in range with everything no problem just adjust a little depending on lab each time.

I normally blast after appointment for 8-16 weeks. Or blast then cruise on 300-400. I feel much better this way and only side is high red blood which the rate is the same at 100 a week. Deca and eq increases rate though but he gives me order for phlebotomy every 3 weeks or as needed but as often as every 3.
As long as I cruise above 300 I am good but at 300 or less I get pain in neck and lower back. Ruptured disc pinch nerves. No shit!!! I also get tendon pain and muscle pain from nerves pinched. Right now it's so bad I am starting 600 test and 400 deca right after that appointment on 17th. I told wife I can't take it. That some people obviously need more than lab values and it definitely helps with Disc in neck and back. I get total relief!

Ok Humana paid for all my meds that needed prior authorization. It covered my testosterone for copay of $30
And my Dr for copay of $40. Will get bill on labs showing what I owe after what they paid. Hopefully not much.

That don't sound bad. It was years ago but my insurance wouldn't pay jack but the Dr. had no clue what he was doing. He gave me a script to take to the pharmacy. They had no clue. Finally ended up it was going to be around $200 for 5cc of test c. Crazy figures! Looks like I might need to check with my current insurance company.

I know dr had to code it right way with other insurance I had before. I think as hypogonadism then my start up labs were 147 back then. He is internal medicine dr.

dude, I have Aetna , fantastic health insurance thankfully due to my wife being a school teacher, and we never pay shit in copays, and not even when I had multiple kidney operations this past year, HOWEVER, when it comes to things the insurance company deems not a necessity , your shit out of luck! TRT falls into that category unless my doctor writes it up in a different manner , same with Cialis before it was approved for Prostate issues, and when it was just used for guys with erectile dysfunction, my insurance company didnt cover it at all, and figured fucking your spouse was a privilege not a right lmao but as soon as it was approved for my prostate, they covered it.

Online TRT HRT is the way to go! its legal, and thats all I give a fuck about, don't care about the money, well I care but you know what I mean

Blue Cross blue shield when I had a script I had a zero deductible it cost me 850 a mth for me and wife bloods were free every 3 mths cyp 10 ml vial cost 10$ out of pocket but I had to have 3 different doctors give me blood test on my levels before they let me fill the script I miss that insurance but I don't miss the bill
