The women originally were scheduled to meet at UFC 258, but a non-COVID illness forced Robertson to withdraw on the day of the fight, and it was rescheduled to UFC 260. They arrive at the fight on opposite ends of the resume.
Robertson’s UFC career thus far has followed a pattern: win two, lose one. She’s on the latter part of that cycle, having suffered a decision loss to Thaila Santos in her previous outing that snapped a two-fight streak with wins over Cortney Casey and Poliana Botelho.
Maverick is five months removed from her octagon debut, a TKO win over Liana Jojua that extended her current winning streak to four bouts, including an Invicta FC tournament win.
