Arnold Schwarzenegger means something different to everyone. For some, he’s a trailblazing bodybuilder who inspired them to lift weights and never stop. For others, he’s a big-screen action icon who embodied the word blockbuster. Others might just remember him as the governor they lived under in California for eight years.
On June 7, 2023, all of Schwarzenegger’s different lives get put under the microscope in a three-part documentary from Netflix titled Arnold. Take a look at the trailer below:

What Is Netflix’s Arnold About?
In each episode of Arnold, the narrative shifts to a different aspect of Schwarzenegger’s story, including chapters dedicated to his life as an athlete, actor, and politician. More importantly, it examines how he upended each industry he stepped foot into, and how it all led to both professional success and private turmoil.
Covering everything from his pre-Pumping Iron days to his life after politics, the story itself covers all of the accomplishments (and missteps) from Schwarzenegger’s 75 years.
The three-part documentary is directed by Lesley Chilcott, who previously served as a producer on 2006’s An Inconvenient Truth and 2010’s Waiting for Superman.
Arnold premieres just days after Schwarzenegger’s debut Netflix series FUBAR hits the streaming platform on May 25. In this eight-episode action-comedy, “The Austrian Oak” plays “a CIA operative on the verge of retirement until (of course) he’s asked to do one last job,” according to Netflix. That job is to rescue his daughter, who was also secretly working for the CIA.
The show also stars Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Jay Baruchel, and Schwarzenegger’s Terminator: Dark Fate co-star Gabriel Luna.
FUBAR marks Schwarzenegger’s first starring role in a live-action streaming series and first in a television series overall.
