what motivates you?

Hey everyone,

In the past few months I've put on some weight, I've always had an ongoing battle with it but I just finished a really tough semester at school and my gpa went up as did my weight.

N E WAYS...now that shcool is done I have started a clen/ECA cycle and it's going pretty good but still I seem to lack that "get off my ass and go to the gym" motivation I used to have.  What do you guys do to get yourself going after a slump??

If you could let me know what helps you out that'd be great....  :D

When I take my ECA it gives me so much drive and energy.  Are you taking enough??  The other thing that gets me going is when I first start to notice improvement....that fills the tank with gas.

I have not really found a trick that gets me going, unless I notice some fat gain.....that works really well...lol

I just try to keep pushing myself to go, and eventually the lack of motivation goes away.  Sometimes though, if I am at the gym, there is this one lady, that when she is there......I get more motivated, she is HUGE!!!  Or I look at my Supervixen book, sometimes that helps a little.

sound weird but the reason i workout is good mental health.. i just feel better when i workout.. and the muscles are the sides of the workout.. and they help me maintain a postive additude...

first off.. my work out is my therapy.. i get cranky, depressed, and irratable... a basic bitch to deal with if i don't go... i feel 150% better after i got to the gym.. so no matter how  i feel at that second of not going or bailing out that day.. i just go.. and by the time i am done.. i feel great... not sure if the release of energy, fustration, or the pump from a great workout.. but when done i always feel better

motivations..
-the mirror... get naked .. look.. yes the view sucks some times.. but then use that towards the workout.. take that fustration/ down feeling and channel it into a workout..
-pictures.. take pictures if you can .. either get mad at them.. or see progress..
--when you are angry or upset as to how you look.. take that into the workout..   when you see the changes happening.. keep in your mind what you have done.. what is to come as long as you keep it up.. or if you slack off what a waste the time you already have put into it was..
it's all in your head (unless you really have an imbalance) so it is up to you in your mind to go and do... it's all what you want...

a lot of coffee helps too ;)

Me too!!!!!  Just ask Nap.......well second thought, don't.lol  I haven't been able to go much now for 2 weeks (family things)  And I can't hardly stand to live with myself.  But I am going tonight for sure!!!!!  Then I will feel much better.

There are a few things that keep me motivated.  One being that working out relieves alot of stress, anger frustration etc.  I feel so much better after I have been to the gym.  Like Sasha and Dez, I too become a total bitch when I don't go...it's horrible...I just feel crappy.  To avoid that from happening I head to the gym.  Another thing that motivates me is when I get compliments on my body...that feels real good...someone actually notices the hard work :) The 3rd motivator, how I look....I feel so much more confident about myself. :)

Thanks everyone :)

I actually took a bunch of pictures from a little while ago when I was looking great, I was going to the gym like it was second nature and I have those up and just that makes me want to look like that again.  I also remeber the way I felt about myself when I was proud of my body, remembering those feelings really helps.

I'm going to the gym right now :)
Take Care

I definitely have to agree with Sasha & Spanishfly on this one, i become irritable, and cranky, and i feel so much better when i go to the gym, and when i get compliments on how i look at the gym, and anywhere else i go...i just feel so much more dedicated...on how good i'm doing and how much i've accomplished. I also compare pictures of how i used to look before, and how i look now, and i feel so much better about that... :D

Looking at pictures in Flex magazine. Thats enough, (along with some Ripped Fuel), to make me wanna work out.  :D
